One of the most overrated animes of all time. I probably would have enjoyed the first season a lot more if it wasn't so overrated. The slice-of-life aspects were fun, and Mayuri carries the show, but it is so slow-paced and leads to nothing. I kept hearing, "You just have to wait," and I kept waiting. I finished the first season, and I was disappointed—it led to nothing that amazing. The ending idea is a thrilling one, but not here; it wasn't done as well as it could have been. It was good, but not good enough. Then I was told, "Oh no, the 2nd ... season is why it's great," and then I learned there's a specific order in which to watch the anime. But honestly, I lost interest. The slice-of-life aspect is so boring, and most of the characters are very dull, except for Mayuri and the MC a little bit—but Mayuri for sure carries the show.

This show is cute, wholesome, and funny. I highly recommend it if you like a self-aware MC with an actual moral compass.

The description of this show does not do it any favors. The "killer heart" barely plays any role in the story and is quickly forgotten. At first glance, the MC might sound like an incel, but he isn't—he's just a young boy confused about his feelings. Ultimately, it’s a coming-of-age story. Ichikawa is a smart, responsible, and kindhearted kid. He is what every introvert wishes they could be, or at least I wish I were as smart and brave as he is.

The art style ... annoys me a little bit, especially the way Yamada, the love interest, is drawn. Ichikawa not understanding that she likes him is also frustrating. However, I personally find it relatable. I've had girls who treated me exactly like Yamada treats Ichikawa, and they still only liked me as a friend. So, like Ichikawa, until a girl confesses, I will always assume they don't like me or just let things happen naturally without confessions.

I absolutely love Kyotaro’s sister; he has such a cool sister. The moe can be funny at times, and Yamada is adorable, kind, and funny. The same goes for Ichikawa—his self-awareness is definitely his best quality. But Kyotaro doesn't talk about his interests to Yamada; they barely have any conversations, which is the biggest flaw of the show. Additionally, Yamada is not a very realistic character. Someone as pretty as her at that young age would definitely not be this nice; she would have a more protective personality.

Overall, it’s a solid season.

A boring and bland anime, media is for entertainment; that's the main purpose. Everything else is a bonus, so it doesn't matter what the message, point, or purpose of the story is if it's not entertaining first. There is no music, and the characters are mostly boring, especially Nagara. The mystery is pretty much a waste of time; it leads to nothing truly interesting, and the finale is underwhelming, just like the rest of the show. Now, it's not without its positives: the artsy scenes are cool, Nazomi is an entertaining character to watch, and so is the cat girl (I'm bad with names). The ... lack of music or any sound design, really, does make you feel like you are there with them, and that has a charm to it. It's what kept me going and not quitting the show, well, that and constantly hoping something good would come out of it, even though it never does. Overall, I was left extremely disappointed.

Just wow, an anime with a well-done ending? Who would have thought it could be done? The music is fantastic, the animation is good, and the characters are compelling. I saw a lot of people compare this to Spy × Family. While I still prefer Spy × Family, this did a better job of balancing humor and seriousness, unlike Spy × Family, which exaggerates the comedy way too much, making it silly. The only parts I felt were a little silly were the bullet hell missing and the way they solved the final problem, but those are minor complaints. The parents are compelling and entertaining, ... with Ryo being the most compelling. Seeing his development throughout the series was phenomenal. Miri is an adorable child; I wish we got more scenes with her in the school, but it's hard to do so much in 12 episodes. I felt it was better to finish in 12 episodes. The ending was satisfying. Overall, it's a great anime. If you want to watch a fun, wholesome, yet dark at times show, give it a shot.

A very overrated anime. The characters are all bland, except for maybe the robot box—I can't remember the name of it. The music is almost nonexistent. The plot is convoluted and all over the place. The characters aren't fleshed out well enough; I didn't care at all about them. As I said, there was no good music. I don't even think there was music in a lot of the emotional scenes. The main character is bland and boring. I didn't hate it and enjoyed the robot character development; he reminded me of Migi from Parasyte. As someone obsessed with time travel media, if you're going ... to include that, you have to fix everything by the end because it made no sense. In the ending, the scientist could have sent her back to save him, then asked the scientist of that timeline to send her back as far as he sent the Matsumoto robot, and she could have fixed everything then. I'm very disappointed in how someone who can make something as touching and amazing as Re
could make something so boring and bland.

Another solid season. I can't really talk about this season without spoilers, so spoiler warning.

This season is about the "murder mystery" slightly hinted at in the first season. I put mystery in quotes because it's really not that mysterious; it was very obvious it was Riz. He was seen taller than Legoshi, clearly a carnivore in the theatre class, and it becomes even more obvious when he goes after Legoshi. However, I really liked Riz and his backstory and conclusion—very compelling and interesting. His design, looking innocent and then switching to an evil look, is one of those tropes that never gets old, in my ... opinion. Keep it coming.

Haru is once again completely ignored this season, left alone getting bullied, with Legoshi constantly playing with her feelings, which is very annoying. I hope the last season fixes that.

Luis is once again fabulous, and he almost got me to cry in the last episode.

This season was definitely weaker than the previous one but still very entertaining. The ending made no sense; the whole constant clash between Legoshi and Riz felt pointless, and the whole nonsense about how eating connects you with your food is stupid.

This is a solid anime with compelling characters and an interesting story/plot. The art style is surprisingly not distracting, and it gives it a unique feeling. The voice acting is fantastic, and the music is very well done. However, it is not without its problems: the unclear messaging—or, I guess I should say, the confusing messaging—and the annoying anime clichés do take away from its strengths. That's all the non-spoiler things I can say, so spoiler alert for everything beyond this.

I'm going to first talk about each character that I found interesting. Obviously, Luis is a fantastic character. The mental strength he possesses, his struggles, ... and his past make him compelling. While he's occasionally an asshole, you can't help but admire him and sympathize with him.

Haru has a bubbly personality, and the great voice acting makes you somewhat understand why Legoshi likes her. The bullying part is annoying; I feel like I've had enough of the bullying scenes, and they should only be included if they're going to have a strong resolution, which this anime doesn't have in this or the next season. Haru is a victim in this show; she is lonely, gets kidnapped, and everyone just uses her for their pleasure, including Legoshi. All Legoshi does is want to feel good by protecting her, talking to her, or looking at her. Everyone has a complete disregard for her as a person or her feelings or interests, which is a big problem with both Legoshi and Haru. They barely even talk; they have no chemistry. In fact, her relationship with Luis is more compelling and interesting. Overall, I hate how they handled Haru.

Legoshi—I have always been a big fan of characters trying to understand themselves, and Legoshi is a great character in that regard. But his unnecessary violence, like the scene where he punches the knife out of the sheep's hand, or how he wouldn't let Haru go when she asked him multiple times, is never even acknowledged as a bad thing, which is very annoying. And the cliché of "Oh, we're almost gonna kiss—no, we're not," or "Oh, she's almost gonna tell her feelings, but they got interrupted," can we just let those clichés die already?

Now, to talk about the plot. The whole dynamics between animals are very interesting; you understand where both sides are coming from. Well, not quite—it feels like carnivores are way too dangerous to be around herbivores, and I'm constantly confused about what any of that is supposed to mean. But it is interesting and makes for great, touching scenes, so I can overlook that.

However, Legoshi's constantly changing understanding of himself gets old and annoying very quickly. The ending was fantastic, though; Luis showing up at the last second and saving the day was badass.

I grew up watching this show and i loved it as a kid , but now as 29 year old watching , it definetly doesn't hold up , while i did enjoy aspects of it , such is the action , and the character , i found my self bored most of the time because of its slow pacing , and rolling my eyes because of inconsistent the show is , the least i would expect from an a fighting anime is for there to be consistency in terms of strenght , but thats almost non existent in this anime , Akira for example the ... protaganist , defeats dural a machine that beat both Lao and Kagemaru, yet somehow he looses to a wrestling lady and to onimaru, another things that annoyed about this show is how nonsensical it is , the character's do things that makes no sense , for example eva kisses ryu after killing him , or characters decided not straight up use guns , characters surviving things they shouldn't survive , like 2 people survived dropping from a very high place into a pool , which is made even more absurd when you later they mention the fact that at a certain speed hitting water becomes like hitting cement, not to mention cheesy moments that are just too much , there is 2 arcs in this show , if you want to even call them that , in the first one , the artstyle and the animation is good for its time , but in the 2nd arc it drops immensely , the character designs get ugly , they stop explaining martial arts moves like they did before, so why after all these cons am I giving it a 7/10 , well as i said its nostalgic for me , and i do like the action and the overall stoy a little bit , although more i think about it the more i concider giving it a 6 , anyway if you are into martial art, and don't mind anime shananingans , you might enjoy this show.

this film was a downgrade spirited away , i only watched it for howl, but the film had almost no plot , the "war" commentary was very surface level , and the main character is so obnoxious , she barges in starts bossing everyone around , she almost kills calisfer twice , first time by simply being mean , second time to save the villain of the film, and she just solved everything by kissing it , such random events,
now to the parts i enjoyed , the music , the settings , the atmosphere were beautiful, even other character besides sophie were adorable , ... such as calisfer , turnip head , the little boy , and howl, it was nice watch , boring at time , annoying at times but over all a nice watch,
so i guess if you don't care if there is no story or don't care about a terrible person being the lead , by all means watch it
