If it focused too much on any one character, it'd give the feeling that single people had more power than they do


Focusing on one character more than any other means that the focused character is the protagonist. Not that they have more power than anyone else. That statement makes no sense. GoT, for example, has multiple POVs, but at first, it tended to focus on the Starks more. That doesn't mean House Stark was stronger than any other. Continue on, and you'll see how they weren't.

not to get the viewer too involved with any one character because it shows just how grave their situation is.


What? So, the viewer, in order to perceive a sense of danger, shouldn't get involved with one character? Can you elaborate, in a different way?[/spoiler]
