Hit the nail right on the head with your Berserk Movie I review. I am a huge Berserk fan, its my favorite manga and one of my favorite series of all time. I don't like the original anime that much, I don't think it did the series justice its good but no where near as good as the manga. This movie isn't even comparable to the old anime its pretty bad, they cut up some of the most important scenes from the early chapters. They flat out cut out Guts childhood and just put some confusing flashback as a summary of his past. If you didn't read the anime that scene must have been very confusing. The only part in the whole movie that I thought they did well on, was when Guts killed the Kings brother. Its sad to see that they couldn't get a better studio and director to handle the movies. I hope the others will be better but I'm not fooling myself, to have my expectations shot to the ground. Oh well at least we are getting something for Berserk after what, 15 years.
