Oh. Oopsies! I'm sO sorry, some of it is spoileriffic.. ^^' I just assumed you'd read the manga since you seemed to be really interested in the upcoming story.
Can you believe that every single episode was original manga material? Now that's a lot of drawing! XD
Well, different people prefer different types of villains. Maybe you like the laughing-maniacally-while-eating-potato-chips kind of baddies, or actively scheming people. The great thing about Johan, imo, is that we never know what he's doing. He is cool. He is menacing. He has a cool menace. He is hawt Anyway, Light wasn't as convincing to me personally because his desires and goals became too inhuman to relate with, i.e. what does he mean by "becoming a god?" Spiritually, or power-wise??? The whole point of being a human is that you want to rule over other humans, aka, be amongst your own kind. That's why Ryuk (and in turn, all shinigami in DN) DON'T want to take over the world. They're not human. It doesn't interest them. They're just bored. XD
I think everyone's afraid of Johan b/c they feel a strange sort of attraction/love to him- and then he (obviously) mind rapes them. You'll see a lot more of these scenes in the eps to come- Have you seen ep. 44 yet, btw? =DD
The word monster is symbolic. Monsters are a central idea to the series- what makes people become monsters, the "story" that made Johan a monster, etc..

I agree, FMA2 is great! You've watched the first season, right? I can't wait to see, hm, May and Ranfan and Envy's real form! And the Hohenheim-lookalike-creepy dude! And Mira! ^^
Hi! I see you are watching Monster (and FMA2 too.. ) Do you like it?
In answer to your question about what Hughes discovered, YES, it's VERY IMPORTANT.. The whole plot really, is based around it. A huge Xanatos Gambit, if you will..
