Incredibly atmospheric collection of horror stories.
Fuan No Tane doesn't have a framing story in any way. All it has is several chapters, all with a different theme, such as ''school'', ''in your house'', and ''visitors''. Sometimes, there's gore, sometimes, simply a weird-looking face. Sometimes it's just a shadow.
Fuan No Tane is a compelling horror manga, because it never tries to get in your face with how spooky it all is. Stories tend to be two pages long, and it almost never explains itself. Often, the stories don't even have an ending: the spooky stuff just happens and then leaves. Like it or dislike

it, it sets a very bleak and unique tone. A personal thing i enjoyed; the author didn't JUST focus on spooky stuff, seeing as how there's a few stories that will surprise you in a positive way, rather than just having every chapter be filled with weird ghost faces that looks into your window at night.
Art is clean and nice, even though the characters tend to have a bad case of same face syndrome. The spooky stuff tends to look sick, though, with everything having an uncanny air around it. There are no characters, and it's rare to even get a name for anyone. Some characters have amusing lines and motivations, but it never goes beyond amusing side stuff. I can't say that every story left me scared, but some of the stories did unnerve me heavily. All in all, it's a great read if you like horror, and even if you don't get scared, the atmosphere will surely be to your satisfaction.
