That's really weird. Never paid close attention to this and you're probably the first to report this kind of problem. Sadly I thought things through but dont any solution to this particular issue, I'm sorry. If it's bothering you, you can try asking in the club. There are lots of helpful people and maybe someone encountered a similar problem. Maybe it's a browser specific problem or cookie-related problem.

Thanks a lot for being so faithful towards my layout :) Hmm you mean you're adding a new anime to your list and you have to re-add the code in the settings https://myanimelist.net/ownlist/style ? Or do you have to reload the page several times?

If there's a new anime in the MAL database it might take some time for it to be added in the cover link, you can try one thing though:
Try importing the CSS code, replace your whole code just with the following

@import "https://malcat-gen.appspot.com/series?preset=more";
@import "https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5jyh20vh8b3u1nl/SteinsGate.css";
body{background-color: transparent;}

The code is very short yes, so dont be confused.

This might reduce loading time for your covers. I do not own the cover link, DoomcatCat55 created a generator for covers and I'm just conveniently using it since it's covering most titles. I'm not entirely sure if it works
