I read your Tokyo Ghoul Root A review. I'm also an anime only viewer and one point that I felt you didn't address was the fact that the animation was absolute shit. It's like there were episodes where it felt like it was made purely of static images. However the fight scenes were good. So it's as if they spend all the budget on the fightscenes and disregard the normal ones.

The degeneration of the art from season 1 to season 2 is really obvious.
