Well, it's difficult to talk about yourself but I'll try to do a summary about me.

My name is Katsuo I'm son of japanese immigrants, my father is japanese and my mother is japanese's descent, I've lived in Japan and America.

I like anime and manga (obvious) but I've been more addicted.
I don't consider myself an Otaku because I don't like cosplay, I don't like to go in conventions on the anime and hardly I buy goods and anime/manga's stuff (except mangas), I just like watching animes and read mangas.
Nowadays I prefer to read mangas (I read a lot) and watch only animes that I think interesting.

As for animes and mangas I like, actually I like slice of life, romance, sports, gags and psycological whether it's seinen, shoujo or shounen provided it's good, it's ok.

Besides anime and manga, I practice ping pong, I like to suffer in net and watching soccer matches (mainly UEFA Champions League), MLB, NBA, NFL, F1 racing, comedy programs and movies.

About my Top 5 (Top 6 xD) mangas and animes although I have put movies/OVAs on my list I didn't put them in my Top 6, because I don't think fair to compare movies with series.
Other point important, I considered only animes/mangas are already finished, so animes/mangas ongoing such as One Piece, Liar Game, Kimi ni Todoke, NANA, Gintama, ... although like a lot of them, I ignored them (at least until they finish).

About my MAL, besides mangas I read one-shots too but I don't put them in my Manga List.

How do I rate the mangas and animes from my list?

Well, for mangas I take into account things like creativity of the author, drama and entertainment of the story and mainly charisma of the characters.

For animes, the criterion is the same for mangas but I also take into account the animation and character design.

There're some animes/mangas on my list with the same scoring of others, they're apparently of same level, but some them are not.
Because of scoring system of MAL in which I can put only integers numbers (I can't put 8.5 for example), two (or more) animes/mangas end up getting same scoring, when in fact I'd like to give 8 for anime/manga "A", 8.5 for anime/manga "B" and 8.75 for anime/manga "C".

It's just a little complaint but would be good if the staff/owner of MAL could fix it.
