Oh no that's really hectic. I actually had to do series of conversions on the exported file provided by MAL and then I could upload it on AL ( .gz to .rar to .xml ; since xml is file is accepted by AL). I don't know if this info would help anymore but still.

Anilist interface is tad bit similar to Twitter. In Twitter too we have a thing called bio and tweets. In Anilist that changes to about me and status updates respectively.

Also the about me section is a pain in the ass to curate so for a long time I just had a basic bunch of sentences and that's okay too 🤗🤗

I don't know if I would get cancelled on MAL lol, but Anilist (AL) is better on many aspects. There are plenty of manga and comics on their database which isn't on MAL , the app has all the features that the website has, the design is futuristic yes while MAL is sorta primitive.

You could try out AL for a while see for yourself how is it for you. You can import your MAL list to AL very easily as well so yeah

I am sorta more active on Anilist these days lol. But otherwise life has been damn hectic and my time management skills are none XD
