1. Go to Profile > Profile > Edit
2. Go to My List Styles
3. Click on Advanced Style CSS Editor
4. Create A Style
5. Click on the background that you want in the link that I gave you:

6. Copy the code, whether it be in a spoiler or direct link
spoiler: http://i39.tinypic.com/fd8qco.jpg
direct link: http://i39.tinypic.com/5y6o41.jpg
7. Copy the link from where it say "body" and go all the way down
8. Paste the link into the "Edit Profile"
9. Save and go to "My List Style"
10. Change anime list style and manga style to "Style #ID------"
11. Save and you're done! (:

Go to the top of your screen and scroll over Profile. Go down to Profile and press the "edit" button. Go to "My List Style". Click on Advanced Style CSS Editor. They have some custom profiles around the site.
I made my own list, but I would recommend that you start off with one of the pre-made list themes. Here are just a few that you can get:
