Interviews With Monster Girls is a highly enjoyable slice of life series. If you came here looking for another Monster Musume, look elsewhere. The series has a simple premise of 'how do demi-humans fit into regular human society?' It is a joy to see each character emerge from their shells as they learn how to live with their peculiar abilities. Poco's Udon World is one of the best shows i have ever seen and i'm disappointed that it has gone largely unnoticed. I picked this show up on a whim about halfway through the Fall 2016 season after looking for something to watch on Crunchyroll.
Don't let the title of the show fool you. Udon is certainly relevant to the story but Poco's Udon World is not a cooking anime, rather it is the tale of a man reliving memories of his childhood after he comes into contact with a Tanuki that can shape shift into a human child. Whilst trying to keep Poco's true form ... Sep 2, 2017

Gurren Lagann could be called the true embodiment of manliness. The strongest point of the show, i believe, is the act of progression. Humble beginnings quickly turn into an over the top adventure where the fate of the world is ultimately thrust into a child's hands.
The relationship between the protagonists Kamina and Simon is the one of the strongest I've seen in any media and the two's dependence on one another drives their characters to reach greater heights. When thrust into this brand new world Simon must learn to grow rapidly to protect those he cares about. "Believe in the me who believes in you" ... May 6, 2016

Gintama is a show i thought i would never enjoy. After seeing the first few episodes i was convinced the show just wasn't for me, but I'm glad that i was dead wrong. Gintama has a MASSIVE cast of characters that are slowly introduced from the beginning. At first you won't feel much for these characters, but then a story arc comes along where they are the focus and then suddenly you fall in love with them. All the characters are interesting and have an underlying backstory. Part of the reason why Gintama works so well is its brilliant mix of comedy and seriousness. While ... Previous - |
