**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
I think that there is nothing in this world that can be truly perfect because there will always be flaws there to see. I see masterpieces as a thing that has the least amount of flaws and finding an anime that is a masterpiece is a really hard thing to find but I can confirm that Monster is definitely a masterpiece.
Story: (10/10)
The story in Monster begins in the 1980s West Germany with an amazing neurosurgeon named Kenzou Tenma who after doing surgery on a young boy who has taken a bullet to the head his life begins to fall
...
apart. The town mayor that he was supposed to operate on instead of the young boy dies making everybody who he works with hate him, his boss doesn't give him a promotion, and his fiancee leaves him which then makes him fall into depression. One day all of Kenzou's enemies die mysteriously and the boy that he operated on disappears. After a few years, Kenzou discovers that the boy he saved was a complete monster and thus causing Kenzou to go find him and stop all the madness. The story for this anime is amazing, it uses symbolism at the best times, the suspense that builds up during the whole anime is amazing, and the different moral decisions that the characters have to go through in situations leave the viewer also feeling the same way as the characters. All that happens in the anime is very thought provoking and gets rid of any anime tropes. The main problem I hear people have with the anime's story is that it uses pointless filler but thing is is that the pointless filler that they talk about is actually not filler at all, it all helps the story with the stories that the characters tell and even come up in later parts in the anime.
Art and Animation: (9/10)
The art in this anime is amazing. The realistic art style the anime uses all helps the scenes look very creepy and sets the mood. The backgrounds look all great because they all show how Germany would look. The animation is also fantastic because it also adds to all the intensity that the scenes have.
Sound: (9/10)
The soundtrack is great. It adds to the eeriness and the suspense of the anime. The OP and EDs are great and the voice actors all did a fantastic job with the characters, probably some of the best voice acting in anime. The sound effects that are used all make the scenes more intense.
Characters: (10/10)
The best thing about the anime definitely goes to the characters. The main character of the anime is Kenzou Tenma but will often switch to different characters and they will give us their perspective of things which I think is fantastic. Tenma is at first is a man that is usually happy most of the time because of which direction his life going in which was up, but as the story progressed into the later part of the anime he turned into a more complex character due to everything he was going through and how much more he views life. His morality always gets challenged with every situation he is in which definitely helps the viewer relate to him. The main antagonist in the anime is also a great character. He is much more different and complex than any other anime villain I have ever seen. His main objective is to cause as much chaos as he possibly can because he just finds it fun even if he is put in severe danger but it doesn't even matter to him. He doesn't feel any fear and cannot be swayed from his plan of causing destruction. An interesting thing that I found about him is that he rarely uses combat against his enemies, the thing he mostly does to kill his enemies is to psychologically attack them in a way that only that specific character can understand which I think is amazing because we rarely see this type of method used in anime. I could go on and on about how every character in this anime is amazing but that would take way too much time so I will just say that you will have to see the anime so it wouldn't ruin the fun of experiencing every character.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
I cannot express how much I love this anime. It is one of the best anime I have ever seen!!
Overall: (10/10)
Monster is such a great anime. Again, I cannot how express much I love this anime. You will get fully immersed in the characters and the story, it is a MUST watch for any anime viewer.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
After finishing Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan and feeling dissatisfied with how abruptly the anime had ended I came in with high hopes that this would be able to fix the ending but it did the opposite of I wanted and made it worse than the ending in the original anime.
Story: (5/10)
The story of Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Seisou-hen begins with a time skip and Kaoru recalling Kenshin saying that he needs to leave to someplace and she saying that she will wait for him to come back. One of my first problems with the ova was
...
how they suddenly shows how Kenshin somehow obtained a disease from war and is now dying from it but then for some reason Kaoru also wants to get the same disease that Kenshin has to show her love but to me that is very stupid thing to do. Another problem is how it does not have the original creator on board to work on this ova which to me usually means that the ova won't do very good because of how it doesn't have the original creator's writing to capture the magic the original anime had but there are those rare times where that there is something that isn't made by the original creator and is good but this is not one of those cases. I felt like the pacing of the movie seemed a bit odd at times and while the story shows all original anime's important events which was cool to see, it left out some other important events that happened. My final problems with the story is how the whole part with Enishi felt very rushed and the way the ova ended and how it didn't feel as effective as it could have been.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art is definitely the best thing about this ova. Even though I prefer the more goofy art that the original anime had, I still like these character redesigns and I found the backgrounds to be really nice looking. The animation in this is as equally as good as the art. The animation is very good during the action scenes and seeing the improved animation during the past events of the original anime is nice to see.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack isn't anything memorable. All the old voice actors were back and they did a good job and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (4/10)
The worst thing about this ova was definitely the characters. As much as I love the characters in Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan this ova made the characters terrible. All the characters except Kenshin and Kaoru were all shoved to the side and were given barely any screen time which was very disappointing because it didn't give these characters satisfying conclusions. I felt like the romance between Kenshin and Kaoru was weak, even in the original anime I thought that their relationship was weak.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
I didn't enjoy this ova very much. I liked the art and animation and how the important scenes in the original anime had been animated with better animation.
Overall: (5/10)
Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Seisou-hen is an ova that didn't give a satisfying ending to the anime and I wouldn't recommend this.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
Since this anime was one of the first anime I have ever seen I decided to go in to re-watch it with a critical perspective and I surprisingly came out of it enjoying it much more than I did before.
Story: (9/10)
The story of Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan begins with a man named Kenshin Himura who is a wandering samurai in the Meiji era in Japan. In the past he was known as Battousai the manslayer because he killed a lot of people during the Bakumatsu war but then there was a sudden transition in Kenshin and he became
...
a samurai who doesn't kill. Throughout the story Kenshin meets many different characters and has many adventures with them. The story structure usually starts with mini stories that are 1-4 episodes long then goes into an arc. The Kyoto arc that happens in the middle of the story is fantastic. The arc has great buildup because of how some of the mini stories before the arc have pieces that all eventually tie in to the Kyoto arc and has great buildup to all the fights that happen. The arc has pretty good pacing compared to the bigger shounen anime that are out these days. The other 2 arcs that are after the Kyoto arc definitely aren't as good but manage to stay okay. The story makes many very effective moments and some are in the mini stories. My problems with the story is how there are some mini stories that aren't as good as other ones and how the anime ends very abruptly which will leave the viewer dissatisfied but there is a sequel ova to show to the true ending to the story which I will make a review of after this.
Art and Animation: (8/10)
I think that the art for this anime is pretty good for the time it was released. The backgrounds are good, all the characters designs are good, and the visuals for the attacks that the characters use are pretty good. The animation like the art was also pretty good for its time. The good animation is most apparent during the fight scenes and there is very good animation in the first OP.
Sound: (8/10)
I love the soundtrack to the anime. It helps the scenes that are being presents be much more effective. All the OPs and EDs are very good. The voice actors all did a very good job and the sound effects are good.
Characters: (8/10)
All the characters that appear in the story are all pretty good. They all get good character development and have their chance in the spotlight. Himura Kenshin is one of the best main characters I have seen so far. His way of fighting people is definitely unique because how the weapon he wields is a reverse blade sword so whenever he defeats an enemy he cannot kill them and can only badly injure them. Another way Kenshin defeats an enemy is by talking to them to figure out the root of the problem with them which also gives development to the villains. Something else interesting about Kenshin is how his past of being the Battousai comes back to haunt him and it really shows how much he regretted killing all those people in his past and how many enemies has made over it. Sagara Sanosuke is another very interesting character because of how the story goes over his backstory of being betrayed by the Meiji government and how much he despises it. The friendship between Sanosuke and Kenshin gets challenged because of Kenshin helping the Meiji government in one of the episodes and they both in the end of the episode become true friends which makes them grow more as characters. Myoujin Yahiko is another main character who I think is pushed to the side a lot but he does have his moments in the spotlight in the anime. There is one very good scene with him and that is when he has his first major fight because it gives the viewer a sense of catharsis since throughout most of the anime he is training to become strong so he can protect people. Then we have our last main character who is Kamiya Kaoru. I think that she is the weakest character of the main 4 characters but like everyone else she has her moments. The anime also contains a very interesting villains but the best villain overall goes Makoto Shishio because of how he views life and his unique fighting style. My only problem with the characters is how some of them get pushed to side a lot like Yahiko and Kaoru.
Enjoyment: (9/10)
I really enjoyed this anime to the point where I got addicted to watching it and has become one of my favorite anime.
Overall: (9/10)
Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan is a very good anime even though the later half of the anime isn't as good as the middle part but I would still highly recommend the anime.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
I came into Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki very cautiously because of what I thought about the 2 seasons of Toaru Majutsu no Index. I thought that the first season was mildly entertaining with the ideas it presented but when season 2 came out I felt like it just fell on its face. So, did Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki do any justice for the Index anime?........nope.
Story: (3/10)
The story of Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki begins with a plane crashing but when the plane crashes all the people that were involved in the
...
crash all miraculously survived. Later, it cuts to Touma and Index walking around Academic City and meet a level 0 girl named Arisa who is able to sing very beautifully but there is actually much more to her singing than it seems. There were many flaws that I found within the story of this movie. One thing that I found very odd with the story was how Stiyl and these 3 magician girls all attack Touma and company with murderous intent which makes it seem like this movie took place between the first and second season of Toaru Majutsu no Index. The pacing of the movie can also seem very off at moments and I know movies don't have as much time to be able to explain things thoroughly but I think it could have been handled much better. There was another odd moment in the later half of the story with Kanzaki. Kanzaki comes out of a space shuttle in space without a space suit and somehow survives being out in space and after she is done protecting the space shuttle she then floats down back to earth. The story never shows how she was able to survive falling back down to earth after the whole incident was over. My final problem with the story is that I thought that the way the movie ended was bad.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art and animation in Toaru Majutsu no Index series has always been pretty good. The backgrounds in this look phenomenal, the character designs all stay consistent, and the different super power effects all look good. My only problems with the art is how it used CGI vehicles that were in the first fight of the movie and how it used a 3D model of Arisa during the scenes when she was singing kind of like those videos were it shows a 3D model of Hatsune Miku singing but it is used sparingly so it is fine. The animation is as equally as good as the art with always being pretty fluent.
Sound: (6/10)
The soundtrack in this movie is pretty good with having many good tracks and my favorite being Ashita, Hareru Kana by Misawa Sachika. The music also helps the scenes in being more atmospheric. The voice actors all did a good job and the sound effects are fine.
Characters: (4/10)
I have always found problems with all the characters in Toaru Majutsu no Index series and it doesn't get any better in this movie. There were many characters that were either just pushed in to make an appearance or having barely any development at all. An example of characters barely getting any development would be the 3 magician girls that are were Stiyl's helpers. The only screen time they ever got was during the battles that involved Stiyl which hardly added anything to their characters. An example of the characters pushed in would definitely be Accelerator because of how they just thrown him in at the last minute in the later half of the movie. Touma is still the guy that is able to defeat anybody with his magic negating hand even though the villains can use their own strength or physical weapons to defeat him. Index is still the girl that barely contributes to anything in the story even though the anime is named after her and how she is mostly used to bite Touma on the head when Touma accidentally does something perverted in front of her. Luckily, Arisa and Shutaura get a fair amount of development but I found the romance between Arisa and Touma was not well done.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
The art/animation and sound was definitely something I enjoyed in the movie.
Overall: (4/10)
Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki had its high points with the art/animation it presented but the plot inconsistencies and the characters hold it back from being a good movie.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
Woah, woah, woah, woah, WOAH!! What happened?! I haven't seen a sequel to an anime bomb this hard since Tokyo Ghoul Root A and Psycho-Pass 2. It is quite astonishing how an anime can do a complete nose dive in quality over the course of a couple of episodes and even though I thought that the first season of Aldnoah.Zero was mediocre I would think that it would stay that way throughout its whole span but I was proven wrong.
Story: (2/10)
The story of Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season starts off 19 months later after the ending of the first season with
...
Slaine rejoining the Martians and the whereabouts of Princess Asseylum being unknown. One of my problems with the story is how predictable it is with its writing and it definitely shows this the most during the battles. This is how most of the battles go, 1. Enemy shows up with a new mech that has a special ability. 2. The characters get into their own mechs to fight the enemy. 3. The enemy's mech shows its special ability by killing many no name characters. 4. The characters all panic because they can't find a way to beat the enemy. 5. Inaho comes out of nowhere and comes up with a plan to defeat the enemy and then immediately kills the enemy. It just gets so predictable that it gets really boring to watch and to make things worse is how they give Inaho a new ability to make him much more overpowered that he already was. Another problem this story has is how season 2 doesn't take the time to close up any plot holes that were left from the first season and it even adds new plot holes to the story. The way Aldnoah.Zero Season 2 ends is just very unsatisfying. It feels like a big slap in the face after finishing the anime.
Art and Animation: (6/10)
The art stayed at the same quality like the first season of Aldnoah.Zero. The backgrounds still look pretty good and the character designs managed to stay consistent but the only thing that held the art back was the CGI which was also the main problem I had with the art in season 1. The CGI appears even more than it did in season 1 and seeing all these scenes with CGI makes things much more unappealing to look at. The animation still managed to stay consistent with its fluency.
Sound: (7/10)
The sound is still the best part about Aldnoah.Zero. They still kept all the same good songs from the first season and the OP and the EDs are good. The voice actors were all solid and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (2/10)
The characters yet again are the worst thing about this anime. All the new characters that were added into this season didn't add anything to the story and were very forgettable. Inaho and Slaine didn't improve at all, Inaho still stayed the same no personality character and his only purpose is being able to defeat all the enemies that appear. Slaine in this season became much more terrible because of how much more inconsistent his personality is. He pretty much changes his opinion on things every second just to further the plot. All the villains in this are either one dimensional or only appear for one episode because they die in that episode.
Enjoyment: (3/10)
The only things I found enjoyable in this anime is the art, animation, and sound.
Overall: (3/10)
Aldnoah.Zero's 2nd Season managed to make an already mediocre anime much more worse than it should have been and I would in no way recommend this anime.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
I really don't get why this anime gets so much praise and gets even more praise with the remake made by studio ufotable, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works. What I find really surprising is that this a sequel to Fate/Zero which in my opinion is leagues better than this. So now I will explain why I didn't like this.
Story: (3/10)
The story of Fate/stay night begins with Shirou Emiya who has learned somewhat how to use his magical powers begins to help people around with it, but one day he suddenly gets involved in battle between 2 magus which then
...
causes him to get further involved in a battle called the Holy Grail War. In this war there is 7 masters that have 7 spirit servants that are supposed to fight to the death until only 1 master with a spirit servant remains in order to get the holy grail which is capable of granting the master's greatest wish. One of my problems with the story is how every fight that Shirou's in he always loses but then at the very last minute he figures out a strategy on how to beat them or something miraculous happens that makes him able to beat them and this happens pretty much every fight in the anime which then makes it start to get very predictable on what is going to happen. Another thing that really bothers me is how the villains don't take the chance of killing Shirou when he and his allies are almost dead, they either leave or give him more time for no apparent reason. Another thing worth mentioning about the story is that the pacing is pretty bad which is mostly shown during fights.
Art and Animation: (5/10)
The art in this I found out to be alright at best, some of the backgrounds were nice looking, the character designs of the spirit servants were good, and the magic attacks looked okay. I thought that the animation during battles moved much to slow to be exciting and looked choppy at some moments.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack in this was pretty forgettable, the first OP was good and the ED was okay but the second OP I thought was below average. The soundtrack didn't really help making the action scenes any better. The voice acting was fine with nobody really standing out and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (2/10)
The characters in Fate/stay night is definitely the worst thing about the anime. All of them have barely any development. Shirou Emiya is a really bad character because of how stupid he is with his decision making whenever he is in a battle, he usually goes into every battle saying that he will save everyone with Saber fighting the villain and him having no backup plan if it goes wrong which is pretty much every time but since he is the main character it always goes his way no matter how dire the situation may look for him. Another character in the anime is Rin Toosaka who is severely underdeveloped because of how little screen time she has and she is occasionally put into the story because the anime doesn't want us to forget that she is still a character. There is also a character that dies in the middle of the anime which I will not say because that would be going into spoiler territory but they make this death seem like it is really effective but when they show the characters reacting to this death it seems that they were hardly fazed by it. The only thing I liked about the characters is that I got to see the old characters from Fate/Zero again.
Enjoyment: (3/10)
The only enjoyment I got out of Fate/stay night is how there were many references to Fate/Zero.
Overall: (4/10)
I think that Fate/stay night shouldn't have been a continuation of Fate/Zero and I would not recommend this anime.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
At first glance Aldnoah.Zero may look like a decent action, mecha, sci-fi anime and with the help of the first episode it makes it seem that way but after seeing all of it I can guarantee you that Aldnoah.Zero is not at all as it seems.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Aldnoah.Zero begins in 1972 on the Apollo 17 mission where astronauts found a hypergate to Mars on the surface of the moon which then causes the astronauts a status of superiority. Soon after, many people move to mars and those people who moved there are now called martians. Princess Asseylum
...
who is the princess of mars comes to earth in attempt to make peace between each other but then war starts between earth and mars, then causes the people of mars wanting to kill everyone on earth. One of the problems I found in the story is how it uses terrible plot twists that don't make any sense and are just done to further the story. Another problem I found is how the story always makes the humans win each battle even though throughout the anime it shows that the martians are much more technologically superior than the humans are which ruins the potential of making the characters look like that they are all fighting for survival. My final problem with the story is how the ending does a lot of things that don't make any sense and it just leaves it ending very unsatisfactory.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art in this anime is very good. The backgrounds that are shown all look amazing, the character designs are fine, and I thought that the blue lighting that the anime occasionally uses around the mechs looks good. The main thing that is holding back the art is the CGI that it uses. The CGI is everywhere and it just makes the scenes much more unappealing. The animation is pretty fluent.
Sound: (7/10)
I think that the soundtrack in Aldnoah.Zero is definitely the best part about it. The soundtrack helped make scenes much better, I think that the best track in it is "aLIEz" by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki. The OP and EDs are good. The voice actors are all fine and the sound effects are all average.
Characters: (2/10)
I think that the characters are the main problem in Aldnoah.Zero. All the characters are easily forgettable with them getting hardly getting development and some even getting no development. The characters that I said that get no development are the other pilots of the mechs because all they are there for is just to be killed and when they are killed none of the characters don't even care that they died. Kaizuka Inaho, our main character, is a terrible character. All he is there for is just to beat the bad guys because for some odd reason he is the best pilot of a mech even though we have never even seen him go through any training on how to pilot one and he has the personality of a rock. Troyard Slaine, our other main character, is just as bad as Inaho is. All he really does in the whole anime is get beat up or betrayed because he is supposed to be the character we are supposed to sympathize for and his personality is inconsistent which is shown even more near the end of the anime. The villains in this are nothing special, they are just your typical villains that are just evil to be evil.
Enjoyment: (5/10)
The only things that I enjoyed in this anime were the giant mech fights, the visuals and the soundtrack.
Overall: (5/10)
I think that Aldnoah.Zero has many good looking action scenes from time to time but even if it has that it is still an anime that is not worth watching due to all the problems that it displays throughout all the anime.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
After seeing Durarara!! I saw many people recommending Baccano! because of how similar it was to it and how the same people that made Durarara!! also made Baccano! so I decided to check it out and I ended up enjoying this much more than Durarara!!
Story: (8/10)
The story of Baccano! begins during the early 1930s in Chicago and with many different characters going aboard the train called Flying Pussyfoot where all types of chaos ensues. The story in this much like Durarara!! is insane and unique that leaves you entertained throughout the anime. One thing that I liked in this
...
anime was how all the characters have different stories going on which is called frame narrative and a interesting thing that happens with the story is how it uses a different way of storytelling by using transitions to different years that are either before or after the main story which as well have events going on so when they all intertwine together it makes it very satisfying to see. My only problem with the story is how you can get confused very easily if you don't pay attention to the story because like I said before there are stories also going on in the past and the future and there are also some of the characters involved in these stories too, so its very easy to lose track on what is happening in the other stories.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art in this anime is pretty good, it definitely shows how it would look like back in the 1930s with its backgrounds and character designs. The animation is good with only sometimes looking a little choppy.
Sound: (8/10)
The soundtrack in Baccano! is great! I love the OP and ED to this anime and the jazz soundtrack definitely helps fit in with the tone of the anime.
Characters: (8/10)
The characters in Baccano! are all unique and likable and is definitely the best part of this anime. There are so many characters in this anime and they all get stories that are told from their perspective which helps them all develop as characters, the best part of this is that since the stories all intertwine all the characters eventually meet each other and help each other with whatever conflict they are going through at the time which is satisfying. My only problem with the characters is that there are characters that get much more development than others but this is most likely due to how large the cast of characters there is and how it has only 13 episode span.
Enjoyment: (8/10)
I definitely had a lot of fun watching Baccano! and the story definitely immersed me.
Overall: (8/10)
Baccano! is an entertaining anime that I would highly recommend because of its unique story and characters.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
Wow! Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor is one of the most intelligent anime I have seen in a while and it definitely knows how to keep its viewer hooked on it the whole time and of course, I will explain why I think it is.
Story: (8/10)
The story of Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor begins with a guy named Kaiji Itou who was just a normal guy who would spend most of his time gambling and stealing hubcaps off of cars until he is suddenly approached by a mysterious man who wants to collect the outstanding amount debt that his
...
friend left onto him. Realizing that he cannot pay off all of the debt, the mysterious man gives him an option of participating in a underground gamble on a cruise ship called the Espoir that is able to clear off his debt in one night but soon enough Kaiji realizes that there is something even more sinister planed beyond this. One of the strong points to this story is how Kaiji overcomes most of these obstacles and twists and turns thrown at him by thinking up an unexpected strategy or plan that can leave you thinking of how he was able to come up with that with all the pressure put onto him or the amount of time he had and this type of events keeps the viewer immersed in the story. The unexpected strategies or plans he comes up with are all so well-thought-out whenever they come up which I thought that was very interesting because of how many other anime sometimes bring up something out of nowhere and never explain it and that we are supposed to take it as it is. Another strong point to this anime is how it delved into human emotions. The emotions that were shown like anger, regret, desperation, and many more were all well presented and the scenes that contained these emotions all felt very intense. The only problem I had with the story is how it would sometimes go a little overboard with the explanation of things and what I mean by this is how it would explain something once, then sometime later it would explain it again a second or third time like we didn't understand what happened the first time, so I thought it was a bit annoying.
Art and Animation: (8/10)
Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor's art style is definitely a unique one that may turn off some people because of how it uses thick outlines which is rare to see in anime and how it uses a different style of drawn teeth but I don't mind any of this at all, I think it's cool. The art also helps boosts the scenes with the characters showing any emotion and the anime also adds some very interesting things during these scenes which I like to call visual symbolism. An example of visual symbolism would be like if Kaiji is losing and is feeling hopeless he is sinking into the bottom of the ocean or if Kaiji is winning there is light shining on him. As for the animation, I think that the animation is average because there is really nothing that catches you by surprise in this animation wise.
Sound: (8/10)
This anime definitely has some good tracks to listen to and they all help make the scenes much more atmospheric and the little ZAWA ZAWA thing that they put in them are great. The OP and ED are good, I only wished that they could make the OP a little longer than just 47 seconds. The voice actors did great in this and the sound effects were good.
Characters: (8/10)
Kaiji is a really good main character due to how everything he has experienced like betrayal, regret, hopelessness, and seeing how cruel people can be just for money or to save themselves, he is still able to not break during these situations and overcomes them and the surprising thing is that he still puts his trust to people even after everything he has been through, so it really feels like he has been growing as a character. The villains in this anime are really nothing special but I do like how they all come up with all these different types of methods to deceive people that are all really well planed out.
Enjoyment: (9/10)
This anime always kept me on my toes with how Kaiji was going to overcome these obstacles while the stakes were getting higher and really immersed me to the point that I couldn't stop watching it.
Overall: (9/10)
Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor is an anime that I would highly recommend due to how intense scenes can get with its psychological mind games and how it knows how to immerse its viewer in its story.

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS**
After hearing a large amount of praise for this anime and as well as the sizable fanbase that it has gathered over 5 years I finally decided to watch Durarara!! and I found Durarara!! to be an very interesting anime due to just how insane it is with it's story and how it handled characters.
Story: (7/10)
The story of Durarara!! begins with a guy named Ryuugamine Mikado who has always wanted to visit Tokyo because he has never gone outside his town before finally gets his wish and starts living in Ikebukuro. After seeing the urban legend called the Black
...
Rider on the first day in the city, many weird events begin to occur all around Ikebukuro. The story for Durarara!! is definitely a unique one because of how the story doesn't just go from point A and B like most anime do, each character has a separate story that is told through their perspective that all eventually intertwine together and seeing all the stories come together is very satisfying. Another thing Durarara does with its story is that it tends to change how the story is told by sometimes suddenly transitioning to past events which is an interesting method of storytelling but can sometimes lead to confusion because of how we are not told that the events actually took place in the past until it finally leads up to current events that are happening and then being able to realize that it was a past event, so I would say that this is a negative for the story due to the confusion that it causes. Another problem I found in the story was how in the end of the anime it left some loose ends which made it a somewhat unsatisfying ending but since there are 3 more seasons after this I think that those should be able to fix this.
Art and Animation: (6/10)
I thought that the art for Durarara!! was fine because it would sometimes look unappealing due to how the people in the background would be not colored in and would be left white or purple. I thought that the backgrounds could also use a bit of work. There were many good character designs. The animation even thought that it would look choppy at times was actually pretty good.
Sound: (7/10)
The soundtrack in Durarara!! I would say is pretty good because of how all the music is varied and how it could help build an atmosphere during scenes. The OPs and EDs are good. The voice acting was above average and the sound effects are average.
Characters: (7/10)
The characters are definitely the best part of Durarara!! and that would make sense since Durarara!! is a character driven story. Most of the characters are well written with the backstories that they are given and I found Izaya to be the best one out of all of them because of his personality and how he would just observe events unfold before him like it was all a part of his plan. My only problem with the characters would be how some characters would have more development than others and even Mikado didn't much screen time compared to the other characters but that would probably be due to the large amount of characters that are in this anime.
Enjoyment: (7/10)
I definitely enjoyed this anime and I will plan to watch the second season next.
Overall: (7/10)
If you want an anime that has a unique and entertaining story with a cast of dynamic characters I would definitely recommend this anime to you.
