The plot had great potential and the art is outstanding but I must say there is just so much bad about the first volume I don't even think I can stand the thought of keeping it. Subjects such as sexual assault and harrassment is very normalized in manga and I'm used to overseeing them, but there's just too much this time. If we overlook the fact that women are sexualized in ways such as their underwear being unnecessarily exposed at every possible chance in the manga, [spoiler ahead] we can focus on how the main character almost rapes a girl after saving her from a ... burning building. The girl later next day attempts suicide to make him admit that he's a monster by saving her. She then proceeds to order him around since she knows his secret and blackmails him with it. She tells him to fight people even though he has never thought anyone in his life, she also gropes him several times without his consent. After they got away from a monster that attacked them they realize that the main character is actually a suit when turned into a monster. The girl climbs in, with consent this time, but kills someone by using his powers and of course without his permission. And he can't do anything about it except watch. He of course wants to get away from her cause he doesn't want to kill, but she arguments against him and then attempts to kill herself once more.

Like I said, the storyline had great potential but there's just too much SA for me to be able to enjoy it and the way that the main character is forced into a lot of stuff and the girl only cares about finding her sister is not getting my hopes up for a good plot or a good relationship between any characters. Not to mention how unrealistic a lot of it is. I know most of this is my own preference but I hate it so much already that I would never recommend it to anyone.

People that liked this seriously need to explain to me why because I can't see it. It's incredibly boring and I'm having a hard time pinpointing the plot. Not only is the story boring but there's also so much unnecessary fan service. I hate fan service but if the plot is good I can usually overlook it but holy fuck.

In episode 8 when Goblin Slayer wakes up Onna Shinkan is sleeping beside him naked. Why just why. That's so unnecessary and I wanted to quit the series after that scene. I didn't. But when Tsurugi said something along the lines of "Women are weak creatures" ... I seriously couldn't keep going. Not only was that comment misogynistic but it was also COMPLETELY unnecessary. It made me so confused. I mean what does that have to do with anything. I didn't understand the conversation nor the storyline after that.

In multiple scenes the characters mouth entire sentences when they only say 2-3 words and that's in the Japanese dub. I like the art and the plot had potential if I'm being nice. But some of the important characters look like side characters while some of the side characters look like main characters. It gets me so confused with the plot.

I never really got into it so I didn't enjoy it, which is obviously different from person to person. I am surprised it's this popular though. I don't get the hype and I was expecting more. I will probably never pick this up again and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Honestly, it was quite boring. The story has great potential and would've been so much better if it was written as a seinen anime instead of a shounen, borderline slice of life. There's basically no character development since the main character's emotions are locked away. The side characters get no development, they're basically not even there. I guess they're there to add something to the main character?

It's boring in general with nothing happening. I seriously had a hard time figuring out what each episode was about. The end made everything worse. The seal sealed away his emotions again. Like why? Just learn how to control ... your powers and emotions. If the story was about that then it'd be a completely different story. Or if it had been written like Saiki K. It's still a good series but I wouldn't recommend or rewatch it.

My favorite character is Tunitan though. I guess he technically gets some character development.

I loved the first 3 cases (the second one being my favorite) but the ending on the last case ruined the entire series for me. You don't actually get to know any of the side characters in the story. First of all, the side characters manipulate the main character throughout the entire series so you don't really get to know their true self. Second of all, instead of the main character betraying his "friends! who basically used him, he betrays the person they scammed in the last case. That wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for the fact that that person became a ... mother figure to the main character. It doesn't make sense why he would betray her. The first case is basically the summary of the entire series. It seems like it gets better in the second case and third case but in the fourth case, you can see that they were manipulating and using him the entire time. They literally faked his supposed friends and dad's death. That's traumatizing as hell, he won't just shake it off and be okay with it if it was real. Especially not if it means betraying his mother figure. Also, the ending is a bit rushed when the other people they scammed somehow escaped their depts and helped the main character take revenge. The main character's supposed "revenge" is just scamming his mother figure but in his own way. In the end, the character called Laurent was just using everyone to scam a person that killed his lover, which they kind of accomplished. But they didn't accomplish anything else.
