Well, likeable or interesting is highly subjective, so I won't even bother about the characters personalities and to be honest I was pretty indifferent to them just like Madoka for the most part. Secondly, they did consistently say that you needed three wins did beat three selectors. The three question about why losing three times and the opposite will happen, hopefully will be expounded in the first season; I didn't say it was a great show just better than the pretentious Madoka. They win there games, so they can attain a wish specific to their personal motivations akin to what happened in Madoka, except they don't really delve into anyone's motivations for their wishes except Sayaka. They didn't know about being trapped into a card game until espiode 10 I believe and then our main protagonist wanted to use her wish to, so that no one would be trapped anymore in the card; similar reset ending that Madoka wanted to achieve by the way. The first girls were explicitly stated that they were human in episode 9 or 10 I believe, so that question doesn't need answering, because it's already been answered. The reason for them chosen to be selectors hasn't been elaborated and its one of the questions I posed and hoped is answered in the second season. I'm not sure why only girls can play the game either, but I hope it's not idiotic reason like it's in Madoka.....it's because females have mote angst or maybe for wixoss it's female pubescence. I don't know. Madoka was all about lets make this really dark and edgy without any transition from the regular daily lives or the consequences it had on their family members at home. You saw the consequences it had on Hitoe's mother, the main girls grandmother as examples that the series wasn't merely trying to be dark and edgy, but looking at the consequences of the games psychology changing and warping them for the worse. Madoka had no such human element and was merely about throwing as much shock factor that includes first Mami's death, Sayakas lesbian double suicide with the obnoxious red head to name a few examples.

The cast isn't that likable, but the psychology around the characters were interesting. Similar to Madoka the characters were moeblobs that were defined by one personality traits; Sayaka is the only the characters with an actual back story as to why she wants a particular wish. The characters in Wixoss are very weak at first by the motivations of the their wishes get fleshed out later in the series. The show wasn't about the rules of the game, but about the consequences of losing the game itself. Although, I would have preferred if they were more explicit in the game mechanics, the tension was in the results and not the game itself. However, achieving three wins meant that there was tainted a wish, and didn't it mean that the exact thing opposite happened. It was actually when the characters would lose three times , then there instead of wishing for friends, the negative consequences on the character losing would mean a total inability to befriend anyone. So, they were quite explicit in the what would happened to the users if they lost three times and later on what happens when you the selectors win three times. Overall I still much preferred Wixoss over Madoka, because we see how the consequences of losing and winning effects the psychology of the characters and their motivations for winning. In Madoka, there's nothing remotely psychologically about the show, unless you consider pure shock factor where mami dies, even though Himura could have prevented it by stopping time. The series was an overall patch work of ideas thrown into a cauldron such karmic bonding and female teenage angst to save anthropy ( males don't have enough angst) and some underling feminist themes not properly explored. The whole madoka series seems very pretentious akin to a philosophy student lecturing about Kant, Marx and Hobbes just to give the appearance of substance. The wixoss series is still incomplete, so whether they'll expound on the consequences of wishes or someone to reverse the problem, it will probably end in a disappointing reset.

A lot of shows having interesting premise, even though Sword art online plagiarizes off of hack. sign, so it's not a very original or interesting premise. How were the scenes tense in Sword art online, when you knew that Jesus-kun was invulnerable to the point of him being down to 1 health or breaking paralysis. There's no tension in sword art online, because you know who's going to win automatically and you see that fully pan out when he revives from the dead in as supposed death game, but only kayaba dies in the dn. So, in short you like the gamer terminology and pandering that the how employed, which is why it's extremely popular, not because it actually brought anything new or substantive to the community. I hated everything about the series from the female characters being portrayed as damsel in distresses that needs to be saved from Jesus-kun to overpowered asshole that is Kirito. The show is a harem and treats female characters as another potential member to add onto Kirito's expanding harem. I could go on and on listing continuity errors, contradictions, character mood wings or rewrites( PTSD in the second season that came out of nowhere), but I'm tired of beating a dead horse of how awful of a series it is. Even Kawahara said that his only works worthy shitty at anime convention, so at least he's self-aware of how abhorrent his fan fiction light novel adaptation was/is.

You rarely give low scores and you gave wixoss a 3, despite awarding Sword art online a higher scoring for being an awful light novel adaption with plot holes the size of a prostitutes vagina.

A group of elitists that is bent on taking over the anime community and repressing every weaboo, fat gamer/harem lover and your run of the mill pedophila...Castration or Euthanasia.

Nice! I have 7 MM Shiny hatched Pokemon from the range from 8 (x2) eggs to 433 eggs that took about maybe 10+ hours straight to get my first of two shiny Honedges. I already put over 2000+ hours on my copy of Y from countless hours breeding Smogon/VGC teams, Maison runs, battles and tons of level grinding to lv.100 on the Restaurant. Btw whats your FC so we can do some friendly singles or 4v4 doubles. Heres mines : 3523 2818 0917 IGN: PsychoDon904

I'll eventually get around to watching those big popular shows that was at the time, though I most likely not get around to that.

Yeah its amazing though you are like one of the few friends I made when I first got on that still get on sometime this year since over half of the old friends pretty much left the site.

It's alright. I made a recent club if that what you mean, when you're saying make.
xDoN904 Jul 25, 2014 3:15 AM
I am doing good. Right now I am playing alot of Pokemon Y pretty much breeding Pokemon so I can get some trades going on. Also competitive battling on the side which I am finally getting the hang of the VGC doubles style of battling since I am used with the old 6 v 6 singles of Pokemon for ages.

Now as for the anime side, I taken a long 2 year break back in 2012. I do watch some anime here and there during the period. Though I was active in the Manga department at the time. Also I kinda fell out of MAL also since I only get on just to update my stuff.

Now its whenever I feel like it since I no longer keep up with the new animes every season and watch what interest me since most of them is pretty much the same thing. Hence why I can't get into the big popular series like Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online as examples since I watched enough of those in the 08 - 11 watching big ones from that period and much earlier.

You know what, I just noticed when I clicked the Com-to-Com that we last chatted almost 4 years ago o_O

Hey, what's up?
Aeonic Feb 17, 2014 10:03 AM
A friend of mine is playing that game too. I'm only watching Space Dandy from the winter season, but the winter season is known for being lacklustre, so no surprises. I'm excited this year with the airings of Mushishi 2, Jojo Bizarre Adventures Star dust crusaders in the spring season and Parasyte, Gundam origins and Legend of the Galactic heroes with air date to be announced.
