Ah okay so Free! is kinda cancer so if you're watching it for the plot stop now. However, if you're watching it for the "plot" then go ahead. Great scenes and perfect pairings mwaha. BUT! If you're looking for a good sports anime then Haikyuu is the way to go. It's one of my absolute favorites! The plot is great and hilarious as hell, the characters ar super likeable (Free characters are kinda meh), and the art is freakin adorable. Not to mention the pairings are just fabulousss! Ooh and if you're watchin Joker Game, tell me how it is. It looked kinda good so was like hmm.

Ugh One Punch Man sucked ass. Like, it was alright but definitley not worth all the hype. It wasn't anything special, so I wouldn't reccomend it. I will watch Food Wars eventually meh. Right now i'm watching Osomatsu-san, which is literally one of the most funniest anime i've ever seen. I'll probably watch Food Wars after this, but I also want to fit in Sherlock somewhere, especially since the manga came out. I also need to get back with HTGAWM ughhhh. Ah! Did you ever get to watching Yaki and the other stuff? And I swear to god if you dont waych the third season of Kuroshitsuji imma be really mad! It's sooo good!
Ramiss Sep 21, 2015 9:06 PM
Oiii don't listen to "Fauxy." Yakitate's awesomeee! You should watch that and Ben-to first. Chuuka's not bad though. Oh! And if you're into kiddy romance with cooking, Yume-iro Pâtissière's pretty good. Duuude, you've got to watch the third season of Kuroshitsuji too. It's freakin amazing. Waaay better than the first two.

Thanks, certainly looks good. But with a rating that high, it'd be a waste not to watch it in Bluray-quality. (Huh, can't even remember the last non-Bluray anime I saw...)

So I guess another 6 months or so?
FauxAzn May 16, 2015 3:20 PM
Yup, saw it around the time it came out. I didn't think it was as amazing as the high 8.55 score on MAL suggests, and I had some problems with a few characters. But I did enjoy it, definitely a good show.

Great opening song too. Here's my preferred version of it:

Titan has excellent worldbuilding, pacing, originality, production values, and surprises that keep you guessing and full of wonder. Unfortunately the show bears a host of problems too, probably the most problematic thing I've rated so highly. For example, the characters can be grossly irritating at times, and the first two episodes suck with the obnoxious young protagonist. But soon after, you'll start to get into the characters' more and more engaging conflict and the captivating world they're stuck in. Low 9/10.

The only thing that even comes close to Ippo is Avatar: The Last Airbender, solid 10/10. But if you're willing to step down a few notches, do try Bakuman, Usagi Drop, and Chihaya's second season since you liked the first. Also, I haven't seen it yet (because I'm waiting for it to finish) but I've heard great things about the 2011 Hunter X Hunter remake. There's also Jormungand -- 7/10 but a lot of fun with a stellar protagonist, and the sequel's a gripping 8/10.

Outside of anime, definitely try House of Cards.

I've actually already started it. Yeah, it's really highly rated and popular and the movie's out now, pretty hard to ignore.
FauxAzn May 23, 2014 4:04 AM
Haha, what's with the sudden reappearance? So you finally remembered your password?

What's new? Haven't given a 9/10 or higher to any game in a decade, but I finally did find a game to deserve it ~2 months ago. Anime's been treating me pretty well lately as well. Just got back from the edge of my seat with Jormungand's gripping sequel. Hasn't been long but I'm already missing it and its stellar protagonist, such a fun ride. And just before that was Sword Art Online, which used to be super-popular and still has high ratings but most people look down on it nowadays, yet I actually found myself rather spellbound throughout (except the last few eps).

Yeah, final exam week was annoying. Especially for me since I only really read the textbooks and actually learned most of the material the night before any test. Having to cram all the info from the past semester for 1-2 classes a night, almost every night for a week.. so glad I'm done with school.
Which reminds me of how my friends got a kick out of my infamous 6-hour rule, where I'd restrict myself to spending no more than 6 hours studying for any test throughout college, maybe an hour or two more for the heaviest final exams but no more than that. No test is worth much more than 6 hours of my time =) And it was always the 6 hours right before the test, so even if the test was in the morning, I'd basically sleep the evening beforehand and wake up at 1 am or something to study.

I'm waiting for Rising's blurays to come out before seeing it, probably only a few months away. In fact, I can't remember the last time I've seen something non-bluray. "so far it's pretty good" -- much better than the second season?

Movies: I saw Steamboy, and though the second half sucked, this has to have the most detailed 2D visuals and animation I've ever seen.. I think. Some more great ones: Ender's Game (be sure to read the stellar book first), Legend of the Guardians, Star Trek remake movie (though I haven't seen any shows), and finally got around to watching the Die Hard movies with mom and Ramis (1 > 2 >> 4 > 3 > 5, imo). The rest of my list, about 500 movies so far (not including 50 I forgot to rate): http://www.imdb.com/user/ur15778945/ratings?view=grid&sort=user_rating%3Adesc

Haven't read Game of Thrones yet, but probably should. Actually, I might wait for the show to finish first. On that topic, House of Cards is sublime, definitely my favorite non-animated show.

Alright, which two or three?

And Dexter's not finished yet? Meh, I'll probably just wait until it's finished then. I remember watching Lost and liking it, but I stopped at some season because there were no more at the time, and now I can't remember at all what happened. So I'd definitely much rather watch it all at once when it's finished. Same with anime: I never watch "Currently Airing" stuff. Wait a whole week for just one episode? Pfft, who'd have the patience for that? Plus, waiting till it's finished gives me better choice of subs from groups that decided to pick up the title late, and gives me better quality from resubbers that choose to upload the Bluray version.

Sure, but honestly, you really should check out the ebook scene instead of waiting months for my mom. Amazon sells each ebook for a fair price (a few go for really cheap), and you might find cheaper if you look around. But I do remember finding plenty of good books at BD, though of course I stuck to the popular ones. Just read ebooks / popular books while you're in BD until you get back. Cuz books are heavy, and my parents already have too much to carry within the 50-pound limit.

No I haven't started Dexter, though you and a good friend of mine keeps egging me on for it. I just don't want to get addicted to anything that large at the moment, with school and everything. Maybe this Summer.

Well, honestly, I'd recommend getting a desktop if you really want a cheap gaming machine. There's no such thing as a laptop that is both cheap and that can game adequately. Note the word: "adequately", laptops are not meant for gaming, period, especially if you want to play any high spec game like GTA4, Crysis 2, Skyrim, etc. But if you're just playing low-spec games like Minecraft, I guess a laptop's okay.

Only two things you need to look for:

1) The processor. A quick summary:
Core i7 > i5 > AMD A8 > i3 > A6 > Phenom II > Core 2 Duo > A4 > Turion II > Athlon II
And of course, more cores are better, but within reason. Don't think for a second that a 6-core Athlon even stands a chance against a Core i3 (2-core). But yeah, all those listed above have at least two cores; I'd laugh if you ended up getting some outdated single-core like the craptastic Celeron you had.

2) The graphics card. Check here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of-Laptop-Graphics-Cards.130.0.html
Sorted from best to worst. Try to aim for anything in Class 3 or up, but even Class 4 should be fine.

Basically, find a laptop with a good combination of the above two items, and you're good to go. Prioritize the above two over anything else, like memory, harddrive space, whatever. And don't forget: a mediocre processor with a mediocre graphics card completely owns an excellent processor with crap graphics. If you just can't find a laptop for cheap with a good graphics card, at the very least go for an AMD A-series (A8/A6/A4) processor for #1 above.

This will cost three times as much as a desktop, and won't be able to play as many high-spec games as a desktop unless you're willing to shell out a crapload of money, but yeah, for whatever reason all you fools like laptops. I'll just be here with my $300 desktop playing every game on max settings =)

Looking for a good Okami pic for my avatar here. Know any good pics of Ammy?

Nah, I don't really publicize my birthday to my friends, because honestly, it's just a day. Presents? Pfft. Thanks, though.

Yeah, I'm just going to spend today going to classes, doing work, watching my new raving addiction: http://myanimelist.net/anime/2562/Shion_no_Ou. Just another day. Mom suggested eating out at some fancy schmancy place, but I'm not a big fan of driving someplace only to sit there and wait for food. Waste of valuable time.

Just buy any old XBOX 360 wired controller. The wired ones connect by usb.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
