Electric Light Orchestra, commonly abbreviated ELO, were a symphonic rock group from Birmingham, United Kingdom, who released eleven studio albums between 1971 and 1986 and another album in 2001. ELO were formed to accommodate Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. After Wood's departure after the band's debut record, Lynne wrote and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every album.

With the exception of their first album, I like much of ELO's discography specifically Eldorado, ELO 2 (for "Momma" and "Kuiama") and Out of the Blue.

I do recommend that ELO fans check out The Move, since they were essentially the prototype version of ELO.
The albums Shazam, Looking On, and Message from The Country are highly recommended.
