He made his debut in 1983. He becomes a major comic artist suddenly by "To-y" in 1985. In addition to comics, draw an advertisement of male cosmetics and an illustration of a CD jacket. The drawn line which is simple, and is delicate, a pattern with a static clean feeling are features. As for the style, the later half of 80's gave a strong effect to a lot of young comic artists to date.

There are writers spirited such as Katsutoshi Kawai, Hidehisa Masaki, Makoto Ito, and Toru Terada, among people who acted as his assistant in the past.

He has a deep friendship with Hiroyuki Asada and Shou Tashima.

He himself was influenced by Katsuhiro Otomo and Hisashi Eguchi. While a lot of young artists were influenced by him in the late 80s, I wouldn't go as far as say he influenced the whole Josei art movement. Plenty of mangaka had similar clean art style to him and were in the manga industry way before him. Minako Uchida, Mirako Nakamura, Ryoko Yamagishi, Minori Kimura, Satosumi Takaguchi, for example.

Another thing this page is missing is that he used to publish some of his works under the pseudonym "Kamijo Atsushi & Yoko", they were a duo until she(Yoko) left the collaboration in 2015.

He did the character design for the Sayo Yamamoto's Endless Night(the ice skating short anime).

Distinctively 80's as leather style that seem to have influenced the latter Josei art movement. True "Bubble Era" Generation material.

Summary: Badass ol' skool mofo.

I'd really love to be able to read his work in the future; however, even trying to find SEX leads to comedic and ultimately grating misunderstandings. A shame.
