@Nemesis16 how can you defend that piece of shit mangaka? Im not even a gainaxfag, but they turned such an average shoujo into something really good, and that retard dared to stopped Anno´s creativity on the matter. Authors should just shut the hell up and say "thank you" everytime someone turn their mediocrities into quality stuff.

I can't hate Tsuda neither Anno because they did Karekano as they wanted. But, It's a fact that Karekano could've been even more great if GAINAX had continued the adaptation.
What if Tsuda had never stopped the anime production? Who knows...
Sadly, we never be able to see it.
The manga was great at least.

Very sad that the two creators could't reach a mutual understanding. Anno and his fans didn't deserve that but if she was that upset than I guess there's nothing you can do.

Everyone saying that Tsuda "has the right" to be protest the anime adaptation: you're correct, but just know that people also have the right to criticize her for her actions pertaining to that.

Now, I haven't done enough research on the Tsuda controversy to come to a firm stance on it, but if it's true that she stifled the development of a good show for supposedly petty reasons, then yes, I do think she deserves criticism for that.

@radle that makes absolutely no sense. There's hundreds of mangaka out there that had only one of their work adapted to anime and it means nothing.

You're the one here that looks jealous and with grudges.

Hinoko is really good.

It's no coincident that there's been only one from all her works that has received an anime adaption. Let that sink in. Anno's version exceeded hers and she got jealous. Instead of working it out like an adult with Anno went for another route and we all lost see second half of Kare Kano and the eventual end of the adaption.

Now 20 years later the BD BOX version of Kare Kano has been released and again let that sink in. If she truly believed her BS she would not have gone ahead and cashed in for that set over her ideals. Money talks for this hypocrite.

I'm not a huge fan of the anime adaptation of Kareshi Kanajo no Jijou either. The part the anime covers is the weakest part of the manga. The play at the end is where the story transforms from a good, innocent romance story to something more. The innocence is lost. Not often we get a story were relationship troubles are the result of the people, not the environment around them. Less often it's done competently.

As much as I agree that what Anno did with Kare Kano was far better than her own, I agree with the comment below mine.

When you create something, you own it. If you don't like how someone is transforming your work (whether you think it's better or not), you have the right to speak up on it. Perhaps she was being sensitive, but it's within her rights to. You all need to grow up and stop pretending you're above her when something like this has not and probably will not happen to you.
