The gap between Love Lab's fun comedy and Bokura wa Minna's formulaic comedy confuses me a bit, because Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou's comedy was at times generic, or lacking punch, while Love Lab actually made me laugh, and if I wasn't laughing at a joke it was at least making me smile.

Before anyone burns my house down, I'm not saying Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is bad, I actually enjoyed it and it was a fun watch, but the character interactions to me were the main reason to watch the show, and not the comedy. There were times when the jokes were either unexpected and fun, but most of the time it was just the same few jokes of "Mayumi is a sad single woman, Shiro is a masochist, Ritsu is antisocial, Sayaka is deceptively evil, and Usa is the loser stuck with dealing with them all". Still not a bad show, was enjoyable, but Love Lab had more impactful comedy.

I'm not sure if the reason for this is this mangaka herself, or the studios responsible for adapting her works. It's not like I'm specifically blaming anyone or criticizing anyone though, just felt like airing my thoughts somewhere
