Blatantly obvious connection between the 2 works. Same mangaka. Ecchi, loli, comedy and slice of life with a group of related ppl. Doujin work: between different doujin artists/ readers. Mangaka-san: between assistants/ other mangakas

Similarly lighthearted and comedic, Genshiken features various aspects of the otaku culture including the creation and selling of doujinshi at the comic markets (comikets). Although centered on the quirks of the college otaku's slice of life and less on doujin making, Doujin Works fans should find Genshiken an amusing window to the japanese "modern visual culture" (e.g. anime, manga and games).

Both are similar in their depiction of a group of friends that is involved in the creation of manga/ln. 'Douijin work' is more concerned with the details of the doujin market and the expectations of its fans. 'Eromanga-sensei' is more concerned about the relationship of the main protagonists. Both feel similar in that they are taking a lighthearted and relaxed approach towards the environment of ln/manga creation and and in their reliance on comedic interactions between characters.

both are funny 4-komas. they both involve a "lolicon" of sorts... or just a guy who loves eveything that is small things.

Very similar. Both good comedies and both about art.

Both explore the lives of characters who want to publish manga. Whereas Moritaka and Akito want to become successful mangaka in Shonen Jump, Najimi instead tries to make it as a doujin artist. Though both have different styles (Doujin Work done in 4koma, while Bakuman in the more traditional style) and Doujin Work is way more lighthearted than Bakuman, both are enjoyable reads.

Slice of life 4koma with good graphic and nice humour.
