Both mangas have a lot of happy and heart-throbbing moments Coffee & Vanilla contains more smut if you don't mind. I love that both mangas don't heavily rely on excessive drama. When there's a conflict, it gets resolved within 1-5 chapters.  

If you were on Team Sensei for Daytime Shooting Star (Hirunaka), you'll definitely enjoy Coffee & Vanilla if you don't mind the vanilla smut. Coffee & Vanilla is a romance between an inexperienced college student and a young-looking, hot business man. Daytime Shooting Star does explore a romance between a high school student and teacher. The male leads are also very sexy and look very similar to each other. 

The difference is that Aibu de Jirashite is a collection of short stories, while Coffee & Vanilla is a bit longer. Both of them are smut manga with adult, mature characters. Not exactly the story, but the atmosphere which is similar, when there is no unnecessary prevarication. The main characters are sexy, popular, and well drawn.
