Recommendations

These two manga's aren't alike at all. Why do I make this recommendation? Both are gender bender comedies that are about girl-boy twins with the girl acting like a notorious tomboy and the boy acting like the stereotypical girl every domestic man dreams of. In both of these manga's their father opposes to their behaviour for he is deeply concerned by the grave consequences of them being found out.

Lots of similarities..Don’t really want to give too much away...

The main female lead was forced to dress as a boy and serve in the royal court.

Both are romance manga with a historical feel, and have somewhat similar art styles. I really enjoyed them both!

In both stories, main girls are unlady-like characters that end up at the imperial court.

Although VG is more action-based, both these stories are based in a different time, has an odd, tomboyish heroine and life at court, plus the quirky humour is similar in these two

One is about the future, the other about the past, but the two female leads are very similar - strong, fearless and energetic and they both pretend to be men. Plus both series are funny and refreshingly different

The stories are very different, but both are historically-based epic-like mangas with a tomboyish female character, some romance and some action
