Manga: Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?
Both are proper fantasy stories (SukaSuka does have a few RPG elements though) with similar setting; floating islands, airships, guns and big monsters. In both stories a human MC pairs up with a non-human girl to fight those monsters and uncover ancient secrets.

Manga: Made in Abyss
A fresh and genuine adventure story. The thematic settings and the ambience may be opposites - it's high in the sky for the lighter Asebi to Sora and down in the abyssal depths for the darker Made in Abyss, but the feel of genuine adventure is present in these two titles. The element of danger is an ever present companion for the characters but the intrepid spirit of adventure is also there to drive them onward. Perhaps coincidentally, the young protagonists in these two titles also have a reliable robotic humanoid of the opposite sex as their respective partners on their journeys.
