Both are detective stories that captivates you. It makes you need to know the answers. The cases are perfectly made like there was a mastermind behind them but non of the criminals could win against the intelligence of Sherlock Holmes and Detective Conan (both detectives have the same atitude and talent) Detective Conan was compared to Sherlock Holmes in the plot. Sherlock Holmes solves the mysteries by himselve with some minor clues from his partner Watson. Differences: D Conan can't play the violin but he has many tecnology devices. Detective Conan solves the cases by himself too but with clues and help from many people (mostly friends) but there are cases where his detective friend solves them because Conan wasn't there or being solved by both of them. In D Conan there is also an occult organitation that they were investigating. Sherlock Holmes is settled in the 19th Century in England while D Conan is in Japan in the new age with slides of humor.
