"The Power Plant"
- imPERVious90 Bogusified -
I'll try to make this brief and say, The Power Plant... is down... right ,... bogus...
Now this review isn't to insult this manga, but is to prepare you to the downright atrocity, (or masterpiece, I try to see it both ways, but seriously...) The Power Plant...
Kago Shintarou is the author of this manga, and to those familiar with his works, this does not fall short of his style. All three chapters are of different stories but are of one theme, a
...
very well implicated theme, that isn't even slightly hidden, or subtly introduced but just immediately tells you "Welcome to the world of Kago Shintarou... here's The Power Plant"... Its consistent and well contains very subliminal messages throughout, granted, depending on your interpretation, the depiction of the story along with the characters can mean something very valuable, that is of course you aren't so mortified by what you are already seeing that you can't depict these hidden messages even slightly then well yes, very intriguing indeed.
Now the art is rather... unique, now those who have seen or read a Kago Shintarou work might not find this surprising but to new readers... well, this is how this man works... Some tend to be "normal" (that's roughly stating it), but fits the theme very well when necessary. some tend to be "hard to discern", but in most cases are then easily known once an action is committed towards it, and well overall it's "Kago Shintarou", that's short for "@#!&@#! !@#@&&$ WHAT IN THE #&$@^_^!"
Overall to those used to the works of "Kago Shintarou" or of those alike and are quite intrigued by the genre, this manga has a unique take towards it, and introduces elements that are probably fairly new and fairly done. To the average viewer... good luck... you will need it...
