'Hakamori Majo Bianca' is an interesting story that, for reasons unknown, was unfortunately discontinued after only 5 chapters. Considering it's been so long since it was released, it's highly unlikely we'll see any continuation, so what's the existing material like?
What little there is available feels like a first volume in a longer series, introducing the main characters and the beginning of what was most likely the first arc, but it's not remotely enough to consider this story even close to "done". It feels unfair to rate this part so low, but for the little we got it really was fairly basic shoujo fare: unusual protagonist
...
is caught between two hot dudes who like her weirdness, and who may or may not have ulterior motives in pursuing her. More than that, though, I enjoyed the side-arc of Bianca (MC) feeling like an outcast because of her personality and looks, and slowly coming out of her shell.
But, as disappointed as I was for having to stop right when it was getting good, I did enjoy the ride. The art is different and takes getting used to; Bianca isn't your typical gorgeous shoujo heroine, but her design is unique and endearing, though I would've liked to see her in less exaggerated expressions too. The other characters are more in line with typical shoujo art and character tropes, with Zela as the cocky and bullying dude, and "uncle" Girrick as...that other cocky and bullying dude. Again, not enough time to develop more than one side of their personalities.
Would I recommend it? If you don't mind a cliffhanger (and if you're familiar with shoujo tropes, you can pretty much fill in the rest of the story yourself), I'd say go for it. It's short, has an interesting style, and Bianca is a cute MC. It's a shame this was discontinued, as I feel it could've been quite an interesting story.
