The basic storylines are about the same. Mainly, it is all about a couple deeply in love with each other, but they encountered lots of obstacles that kept trying to pull them apart... Ojousama wa Oyomesama is more towards light comedy, while Kiss Yori mo Hayaku is more towards sweet romance, though both mangas' plot have light comedy and sweet romance.

In both mangas, a commoner is forced to wed someone from a higher status. Both are romance-centric and cute.

both have a similar concept- marring a guy with a lower social standing than the girl. both girls doubt that the guy only wants to marry her for wealth.

The art is similar and the cute love between the main leads. I definately recommend either one. :) They can hint a little smut! ;( Wish there were smut but it still leaves you satisfied with romance!

They both have a lead that end up with the other person not by choice but ends up accepting it. Both with a cute story and lovely love.

You have to read both of these stories! The plots are very well made and it's funny in an adorable way. Ojousama wa Oyomesama has more romance in it while Fruits Basket has a mystery to it! Both a wonderful read!
