Both focus on supernatural storytelling, a spooky atmosphere, a young adult cast and also lots of action in it as well too and also supernatural creature summoning included.  

Both were adapted from notable jrpg series and both also share similar reserved mcs partnering up and befriending other characters in order to stop the big bad guy and both focus on edgy topics and share an edgy feel to the story as well too and are both modern Japanese settings with fantasy elements. 

Both are sharing demon and angel related type of beings, have a spooky and edgy atmosphere and story and an outsider like mc getting caught up in all of the strange events and must also find out why it is happening. 

Both are based around occultic supernatural storytelling as well as lots of suspense and psychological shit happening as the story goes on as well as the characters getting caught up in some strange events as well too.  

Both involves group of individuals trying to save the world. They were accompanied by entities who are somehow the source of their power. Familiars in Samidare and each character's inner selves in Persona. Both has to do with not only hardships, psychological traumas, death of loved ones but also, above all, friendship.  

Both have incredibly detailed art, and involve complex looking and insanely terrifying enemies in an alternate version of reality.
