This is one of the hidden gems of early 90's. Double Hard is a rare manga in the big pool of high school gangster mangas that you don't have to force yourself to read through with a stupid lame protagonist. Hayami Daiki and Takayama Jin are a pair of cool protagonists with good taste, the way they dress, talk, act, and everything are really cool.

Hayami just came back from studying abroad in California, while Takayama was trained by American soldiers in Yokohama. They are not your usual high school gangsta manga protagonists, in fact they don't like gangsters and always want to kick their asses.
