Both going on in ancient China during the Warring States period with pretty much the same topics, Bokkou showcasing in the defence of cities rather than the battles will interest a reader who's liked Kingdom, with deeper societal and philosophical insights

The events of both manga happen in Ancient China, focusing on main characters who are hired to protect a small town from invaders, and whose policy is tocomplete their mission or assignments no matter what. While Toutetsu has fantasy elements on it, Bokkou is more realistic.

The artwork has the same vibe and feel as Kenji, plus the series is completed so you will be in for a nice long read. Both mangas contain rich historical significance in martial arts while not boring you to death with too much history. Bokko has an even balance of fine martial arts throughout it. The ending of Bokko was also a pleasant surprise as well ;)

Both manga go into detail of military strategy and tactics and how it developed in the early days of our civilization. They both show just how much thinking went into every battle back in the days when technology was limited to the simplest tools and materials. Both manga feature realistic battles, where you won't find a loud charismatic main character leading his soldiers to victory by plot armour alone. Battles in both manga are full of struggle and uncertainty. Both manga serve as a good history lesson, the kind you would hardly find in a classrom.

Both are based in historical theme and the protagonists uses strategy and wits to settle matters. However, Bokko is concentrating more in battles.
