Let’s start off with the positives: The art.
In many of the panels the art is stunning. The characters look really pretty. The art is really what appeals most people to start reading this story and what compels most to stay. The character design is also really nice, male lead looks like a hunk and female led has strong and pretty features that makes her unique. The story’s plot is also pretty interesting. There are supernatural elements that are intriguing.
Now the execution can be the cause of why the story isnt great. Female lead is rather dim witted and asks way too many questions about
...
something that is not her business in dangerous situations. It can be rather frustrating to see. There is too much exposition, even within the first chapter the character word vomits what is going on and as the chapters go on you are given even more and more exposition. As a reader, you should be fed just enough information that also makes you want to know more and to also put the pieces together yourself. The characters telling the world, instead of showing you the world is not great world building. Also within the 10 chapters I read, I still don’t know anything about the female lead. They spent time exposing the world and the male leads objectives, but we do not know the characters themselves. There is not much depth to the interactions they have with the other characters. It feels the story is kind of all over the place and can be confusing.
Side note, although the art can be pretty in some panels in others there is lack of detail and feels quite lazy. Sometimes the characters faces looks messed up.I would have given this a 5 had the art not look good sometimes.
Overall I do not recommend it. Maybe if you are 14 or a beginner at manhwa it can be good enough. But people who value good stories this isn’t for you.
