Mishima Kazuhiko takes another shot at the robot/doll lover theme and produces something both a bit darker and sweeter in Lovers Doll.

Even though "Lovers Doll" is a yaoi manga and "Shōnen Dolls" is a shōjo manga, there are similarities between them. Like the fact that both mangas have a doll theme and the focus is on the relationship between the master and the doll(s). The affection between master and doll(s) also makes it possible for the dolls to turn into humans in both mangas, though the dolls in "Shōnen Dolls" can only turn into humans during the night. "Lovers Doll" is a yaoi manga but I think even people who usually don't read that genre would find LV cute and enjoyable, because it's not as hard-core as  read more

Both mangas are about human looking dolls that feed on their masters love. Both leave a bittersweet aftertaste.

After you read these mangas you get an awfully cute feeling in your stomach (and you may even shed some tears). They're so sugar cute both of them! :3 Shimeji-chan (Lovers Doll) and Hiroshi-kun (Konbini-kun) are both beginners at love because of a trauma(s) from past that keep them from opening themselves to others. The knights in shining armour, who save Shimeji-chan and Hiroshi-kun from their past and accepts them for who they are and thus helps them move forward, are Shin-san (Lovers Doll) and Kōhei-kun (Konbini-kun)!

Lover's Doll has amazing art and a very different plotline. Jealousy, heartbreaking moments, and fluffy scenes are involved; it is ultimately an extremely memorable BL manga, just like Rutta to Kodama.

So if you don't mind yaoi and for you romance is romance after all, both of these short mangas have a romance that starts for a supernatural element (and that supernatural aspect is continuously present throughout the story), the synopsis says it, so I'm not gonna repeat them, there's also comedy mixup and it's fair amount of drama moments in both, besides that both have very explicit sex scenes, nothing that crosses the line of hentai and of course go in line with the romance, so it's another point alike. I repeat Lovers♥Doll is yaoi, disregard this comparation if you don't like that.

Both mangas, Sakura Gari and Lovers Doll, talk about people, who’re suffering, because nobody wants to listen and understand them. Almost everyone wants to abuse them for their own selfish needs. Just the main difference is that Souma is a person, who looks like a doll, when Shimeji is a doll itself, but has the same feelings as a real human being. Also, Shimeji and Souma meet their special ones, who are willing to hear them out and change their lives forever. In both mangas there is homosexual relationship (yaoi elements). Though, I must mention that Sakura Gari is more mature and dark manga, when  read more

Stories with dolls and love.

Both stories are about doll-making, both have something dark inside the plot.

> both have similar art > both have similar comedy > both have hot scenes The main reason i think these 2 are similar is because of the love/hate comedy. The characters 'hate' each other: always arguing and fighting but later on they learn that they really do like each other.
