An intriguing Murim premise that quickly devolves into a disjointed, poorly executed fantasy narrative.
Story: 3/10
The initial setup of a Heavenly Demon sect leader waking up over a century later in a changed Murim world has appeal. However, the introduction of clashing fantasy elements like mana and dungeons makes the setting a confused mess. The plot meanders aimlessly with no clear direction.
Art: 5/10
The art is passable but unremarkable. Action sequences lack impact and characters blend together due to generic designs. Panels feel static.
Characters: 2/10
The protagonist comes across as idiotic with no clear motivations or plan. Supporting characters are one-dimensional. None of the cast leaves much of

an impression.
Enjoyment: 2/10
I found myself quickly losing interest as the story transformed into a subpar fantasy narrative minus the intriguing Murim foundation. The poor writing and characters made it a slog to get through.
In summary, The Heavenly Demon had an initially promising Murim premise that it failed to capitalize on in any meaningful way. Unfocused storytelling and weak characters make this tough to recommend to any audience.
