A chronological selection of the most important works of Osamu Tezuka, a timeless influential figure on the medium and one of the greatest artists of all time.

These entries are listed keeping in mind its historical relevance, their context in Tezuka's life, and their overall influence on the mangascape. I believe the following titles would help you understand more about his style, life, and contribution to Japanese media. It is not comprehensive and should be treated as a jumping point for such a colorful career.

Most of these titles are available in English.

Editora Newpop is a Brazilian publisher founded in 2007 by Junior Fonseca and is known for launching more differentiated content. Currently, it is unquestionably the publisher that works with the largest number of genres, being practically the only one that continuously releases yaoi, yuri, hentai, light novel, gekigá, 4-koma, classics, manhwas, webtoons and Brazilian works series.

Hi all, another manga challenge! This time the alphabet using the MAL categories. These are 25 (Sadly no X, again) short, complete manga falling under one of MAL's themes, genres, or demographics, and when we needed more letters, other websites such as AniList and BakaUpdates.

Hope you have fun reading!

Usual Disclaimer: We have read none of these works before, and while we haven't picked any manga purposefully with disturbing content, we can't guarantee anything, so read at your own risk.

I've put together a list of manga written by Tezuka Osamu, that was officially licensed and released in North America/English. Some publishers are still active and have copies on hand, others are defunct and out of print, etc. This is a guide to figure out what a legitimate copy would come from/hints where to look.

This list is NOT complete, I'm merely one person and have probably missed a title or two.

Publisher Notes: Vertical Inc. was acquired by Kodansha USA in 2011, and fully absorbed in 2020. Any titles that were licensed to Vertical Inc. are currently distributed digitally via Kodansha USA.

"eManga is Digital Manga, Inc.'s own one stop online shop for manga, originally established back in 2008. Providing manga both digitally (in a variety of downloadable formats) and physically, in 2018, eManga merged with DMI's print store - Akadot - to house everything in one place". [taken from eManga's website]

Digital Manga Publishing (DMP) and Digital Manga Guild Publishing/Publication (DMGP) are the same company as far as I am aware. DMP seems to be the physical copies, DMGP being the digital copies.

NOT LISTED IN DATABASE
-"Shakespeare Manga Theater", Ablaze Manga

ALLEGED LICENSED, NO PHYSICAL/DIGITAL VOLUMES AVAILABLE
-"Neo Faust", Ablaze manga
-"I.L"/"The Story of I.L" , Titan Books

If you have more information on titles available to add to this list, please shoot me a DM and I'll add it accordingly. (Updated on 5/2/24)
