Despite being full of tropes that I personally dislike, I can still enjoy this story for the writing and solid character work. This is a decent drama-romance that will be a delight to those who enjoy, say, light yakuza/spy/cop dramas.
Art: Very good. Nakata Akira's art style is wonderful, and each panel is a pleasure to look at.
Character: One of the main characters is a cop and the other is a helpless, clumsy ditz (with one instance of cool gap moe). Neither of those things appeal to me, but if you like reading about those types of characters you'll likely be happy.
If you're someone like me:
...
the character writing itself is very good, everyone is developed well and feels three-dimensional. The supporting cast is nice as well.
Story: The story is well developed and decently intriguing, although it feels a bit too focused on the love interest (basically all parts of the plot revolve around him). The romance is a somewhat slow build with some awkward pacing, but ultimately feels genuine. There's no serious violence and only one short instance where sex shows up; the drama and the romance are both somewhat shallow but well explained, never coming off contrived. If you enjoy heir drama, undercover missions, and mysteries to see who ordered the hit; you'll likely be well pleased.
Enjoyment: Hard for me to rate because most of the tropes in this story aren't my cup of tea, but I think this is a solidly entertaining manga. I'd rate it decent; not the most memorable, but not a waste of time to read.
