Story:
The story for "Public Sex" was incredibly intriguing. A basic summary of this manga would be this... "High School was a rough time for Kanao Morimura, as he always struggled to find his domineering father’s approval. So one can only imagine when he found the approval of fellow classmate, Sei Mishima, in his freshman year, the two became inseparable. Now in college, their relationship starts to move from friends to friends-with-benefits, as they quickly discover their apartment isn’t the only thing that's a tight fit. With Kanao’s cravings for attention and danger, they’re activities may be a bit loud for their neighbors.Their neighbor Konno, however, may be

a little more interested than annoyed with the couples constant nighttime noises." (summary from YaoiCat)
Honestly at first glance this story has a pretty basic yaoi concept, but as you delve deeper into the story, you will certainly notice that this is a lot more psychologically scary then it appears. By the end, your jaw will be all the way down to the floor; you will not know what hit you.
That is why this story is a 9/10. Could use a bit more work to reach a 10.
Art:
The art for "Public Sex" was great. The characters were well drawn and, honestly, I loved the art style for the characters. You could always tell what emotion the characters were displaying just by looking at their face.
The backgrounds could have been drawn out more.
That is why the art for this story is a 8/10.
Character:
All the characters in this manga were endearing. Even some of the side characters (like Kanao's brother) were important to every piece of the story. The main characters (Kanao and Sei) had their ups and downs together and their own emotional backgrounds, but even behind those "emotions" they are hiding even greater secrets that the other must not know.
I can't go in depth without spoilers, so I recommend this manga to anyone who likes characters with dark pasts and for people who like to be surprised by the characters in the story.
The characters for "Public Sex" get a 10/10 in my book.
Enjoyment:
This manga has less of a enjoyment factor and more of an investment factor. You want the couple to be together throughout the entirety of the story, until you get to the "End" (them getting together). Then you only get sucked in by the craziness that has actually ensued. Even after you get to the "The Best Possible Happy Ending", there is more, and at the true end, you realize how deeply invested you actually got into the story. You will literally be terrified.
That is why the enjoyment (investment) factor of this story gets a 9/10.
Overall:
If you read and love physiological manga, then this is for you. I recommend that if you liked "Color Recipe" by Harada (or even if you liked the small aspects of the story, not the actual story as a whole), then you will just eat up this manga because this is at least 10 times better than that story. "Public Sex" was so entertaining and always kept you guessing. The art for the characters was done well and the characters themselves were just crazy to read about.
I would definitely recommend reading this for those reasons.
I will say this isn't everyone's cup of tea, especially because this is a raunchy and psychologically terrifying manga, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. ;)
