I can't believe no one else wrote a review for this yet, so I thought I'd take a stab at it and write one. It took me a while to finally decide to read this, since the synopsis is kind of vague and there was no previous reviews, but after reading it I found it to be really sweet and enjoyable. It felt same feeling as petting a cute little puppy and then going "awwww." Yup, there was definitely a lot of "aww" moments in this story. It's also quite comical I laugh a lot when reading it. This has really turned into one of ... my favorite shounen-ai manga to read. :>

The story is mostly around Alexi and Rael, two boys from this country in which all the people there is either a receiver or a supplier. It's in interesting twist to the story, because power is exchanged from the lips only, but in their country it's not meant to be romantic or anything. Fortunately for us fangirls, the great thing about the receiver and supplier thing is that if you have too much energy or too little energy then you'll feel faint, which leaves a lot of room for cute bl moments. Well to be honest there's a lot of cute bl moments anyways lol. The kiss scenes are absolutely adorable too.

Like Junjou Romantica there are other pairings, although you wouldn't really call them "couple" couples because it's not like in real bl where everyone's all dramatic and pronouncing their undying love for each other or anything. Also there are some straight pairings as well, which makes it kind of a strange set up.

Everything is sweet, light, and just right for a shounen-ai story. Although the love between partners is only hinted, "actions speak louder than words" sometimes. Although I do say hinted it's more like some of the things (or a lot of the things) they say to each other you know that they don't mean it in a "romantic" way or anything but in my head during these scenes I'll just be like "omg they are sooo obviously in love with each other lol." And this happened quite a lot.

Other than the receiver and supplier twist, everything else is mirrors the real world. The story isn't in a fantasy land or anything. It's like school life and its many troubles if you know what I mean. Oh except there IS royalty with the kings and queens and all that. But this is not even that essential to the whole story.

I really like the art because it's simple and just right. The many kiss scenes made me squirm with delight, though light and for power transferring purposes only. Although sometimes I feel like when the characters are getting emotional or touchy feely they'd just kiss each other on the lips. And a lot of times I'm like waiiiit they didn't even need to transfer power or anything these kisses seem suspiciously romantic. Since for the most part the characters are all around 13-15 there's nothing really beyond kissing and hugging. Because of this it's innocent.

As for enjoyment, I totally felt like a fangirl as I was reading this, because I personally like to read light bl stories, so this one was definitely my cup of tea. If you're looking for true bl and true romance, you won't find it here. Nevertheless, if you are a bl fan I recommend you read this refreshing and cute story, full of fuzzy feelings.

Edit: Okay I just reread the story again and finished it this time, and I must say I almost died of cuteness. OTL Seriously this is a must read if you're into the kind of cute stories that make you go omg my poor heart. Sometimes when I reread old manga I really liked, I'd be disappointed because it wasn't as good as I remembered it to be. But Shinkuu Yuusetsu was just as good as the first time I read it, if not even better! So GO READ IT. >:U

When the one you're stuck with for the rest of your life is decided at a young age of 3-4 the plans life has for you is made even more apparent which seems somewhat bleak and quite uninteresting.

However this story isn't about how everyone has a destined other, nor is it about true love. This story is about the struggles of having someone you literally cannot live without. For each "Supplier" there is a "Receiver" and it's only within this area do these people exist. The entire world isn't filled with suppliers and receivers, and the culture these people live in is something otherworldly to ... those outside of their country. With the power of life being transferred from kissing alone the romance between a kiss on the lips is lost within these people despite the fact that it's still something sacred to them. When you're forced to live with someone from the age of three or four sooner or later you're bound to feel for them and as such most suppliers and receivers end up becoming much more than that, but this story deals with the struggles of same sex partners and partners that differ in age. A heart-warming, calming, and touching story all around and well worth the read.

There isn't anything that particularly stands out about the art style but even a generic style can be deemed good if used properly. While it isn't an outstanding completely original art style that's so different from everything else it can hardly be deemed a manga it's very fitting for the story and helps with the setting and atmosphere.

With a cast of characters that give off the feeling of someone "real" at moments they can be very relatable however none of them really stand out and as such the author really relies on the interactions between them to make the characters worthwhile and does a good job in making the interactions seem humane and the characters believable.
Characters 7/10

I'd like to complain how 11 chapters didn't do the story justice and how there were loose ends that needed to be tied, and how I feel like there were things left unexplained. However when all is said and done it doesn't feel like there was much else to do or say at the end of it all and I must say I feel fulfilled.

This manga is such a hidden gem! It's been a long time since I really felt this happy reading a romance due to the amount I've read.
This manga is near perfection. The story is original and concise. It stayed on course with its main plot and never strays from it. There are many instances in the manga where I felt quite emotional, especially with the stories with Floran.
I love the connection that is made reflecting reality, that sometimes the best pairings are of the same sex, and it is not genetics, that's just how it is. How they are rare but still common ... enough in this manga, like how homosexuality is also the minority but still prevalent. I also really like how this manga does not follow the hardcore uke-seme (s&m) relationship archetype. It keeps it real. They are not some fantasized ideal of a homosexual relationship but something that can be replaced with a heterosexual relationship and still seem just as sweet. I give the mangaka massive props for not making this one of those homosexualized 50 shades of grey manga.
Art, decent. This has the lowest rating for me (7), it's not bad but nothing astounding either.
The characters were excellent and everyone had a fair share of time. I like how the two main characters (Rael and Alexi) were not the only stars of the story but the side characters as well got their fair share of screen time. It shows the relationship between other pairs as well which works really well for the type of manga this is.
I had thoroughly enjoyed this manga. he only thing holding it back from a 10 is the decent but not amazing art and how I wish it is be a little longer. The chapters does not really flow well, as it skips from main characters to sub characters and then back to main but slightly older. There is some gap with the story of the main, although I know nothing big really happen between them, I would still like to see more of their cute relationship. Also at least one lesbian couple would have been a nice addition.
