Satanister is about a nun who borrows demonic power to fight (and kill) serial killlers. Her main weapon is her knuckle gauntlets passed down from generations of satanisters, which give her inhuman strength but require will power to surpass the evil spirits of people the gauntlets have killed. The serial killers she hunts for are not normal either. They all have their own unique abilities. Among them, the most infamous one is the valkyrie who mainly uses enhanced blades attached to her arms and has the reputation of killing her victims in her sadistic games. To pursue valkyrie, satanister enrolls herself into a mortal

kombat style tournament and pushes her “weak” bullied middle-school-girl friend/disciple/sidekick Izumi to come with her.
1. The manga starts with the sadistic games of Valkyrie. That might feel slow and less interesting to you, but don’t drop it yet. The author probably didn’t know where to go yet. Wait until Santanister shows up because that is the real beginning. I think it is fine to drop the first few chapters about Valkyrie.
2. Expect action, gore and boobs.
3. Other than satanister, izumi and valkyrie, we also have the robot guy, cowgirl fighters from the tournament host (including a chibi cowgirl), and many other fighters with their own gimmics.
4. Satanister is for sure the star of this manga. She is op for most parts of the manga and it is satisfying to see her punch through the skrulls of the enermies. However, I think the real main character is Izumi who starts as just a bullied middle school girl. She slowly finds her strength and overcomes her weaknesses throughout the story and surprises everyone again and again. And satanister has been the one giving Izumi the push as she sees Izumi’s potential.
5. The manga is a little rush at times.
6. If you like the author’s other works, i think you will like this one too.
