Both of these serialisations revolve around a male protagonist and a female spirit who he aids. Both also share doses of comedy, drama, ecchi, and mystery. 

Apart from the supernatural romance premise, both also share a detective focus. 

Both of these romance titles follow the relationship between a male protagonist and a female ghost. Both feature lots of ecchi, drama, and comedy. 

Both of these ecchi series feature female spirits interacting with the male protagonists. In Baka to Boing, this interaction is direct; that is, the female spirit can speak directly with the male protagonist. Alternatively in Saikin, Imouto no Yousuga, the interaction involves a medium who happens to be the male protagonist's step sister. 

Despite featuring different aesthetics, the premise of both titles revolves around the relationship between the male protagonist and a female ghost. Both titles are also prevalent in ecchi. 

Romance of a supernatural kind is explored by these two series.
