Recommendations

Both mangas are heart wrenching(prepare for tears) with an amazing story line.

In Saiyuuki Gaiden, the protagonists are dissatisfied with the way the godly individuals or those that reside in heaven operate. In Feng Shen Ji, the humans grow tired of the Gods' rule and want to live free. In both, these grudges against heaven result in rebellion.

Both series involve gods who have grown tired of their complacent perfection in the heavens, treachery amongst the gods, and generally emphasize that immortality is not all it is cracked up to be. Beautiful, divine-looking artwork contrasts these stories' dark and often cruel undertones.

I am really surprised that nobody has made this reccomendation, because these Mangas have really many things in common. - The Setting in both Mangas are in Heaven - Intrigue under gods and main characters that become innocently involved in all these - Even the ending is the same If you liked RG Veda then you will surely love Saiyuuki Gaiden. I recommend before reading Saiyuuki Gaiden to read the Sequel Saiyuuki. It will make the Story more heartwarming und the characters more lovable.
