Note: The title is actually a pun, as most you might notinced. In Japanese, ‘ichi’ means'one'. And ‘wan’ is barking sound/'woof', which is pronounced same as ‘one’ in English.
This will be my first review, I hope it can be helpful. English is not my native language so I am sorry if there are any mistakes.
This manga picked my interest because I thought that the colour palette looked similar to Harada’s. Even tought I loathe parent-child relationships, I really enjoyed this one so even if this isn’t your kind of thing you might like to give it a chance.

art is amazing. Drawing style is really close to Nakamura Asumiko’s, but with a clean distinction between the style of the eyes. Eyes drawn by Yukimichi Ouji are highly detailed with long and curvy eyelashes. Characters’ emotions are conveyed quite well. One thing that I find unique was the thick stripes mangaka used as background-fillers in some parts.
I also do believe that Nakamura-Sensei and Yukimichi-Sensei have similar ways in terms of stories, especially in the way it concludes. I would also like to point out the same-name-thing going on (Wan and Ichi, Michel and Michel, Licht/Rihito (light) and Hikaru (light) and of course, Ishikawa Mitsuo and Ishikawa Mitsuo.) One Ichi focuses on characters’ feelings rather than action. I was able to connect to characters and their emotions perfectly. But there was this one thing that really bugged me –which is the main reason I’m writing this review
-spoiler-
Ichi choosing Wan didn’t really felt right. It felt like he changed his mind just by going ‘Well, he has done a lot for me so I better fall in love with him.’ during the play. I think a more natural way would be slowly making Ichi realize his true feelings instead of doing in a big scene.

So the ending felt pretty somewhat forced. I was thinking that I would give it a score between 8 and 10 but this way it couldn’t be more than 7. It kinda makes me sad, to be honest.
Thanks for reading it all until this point!
