This work has left me compelled to leave a review just because of how much it moved me.

This is by no means a read for the faint-hearted. There's no happy ending, no matter how you look at it. Whatever goes down is horrifically dramatic, stomach-turning and downright detestable.

But it's keeping it real. Artfully constructed, twisted to the highest degree. It absolutely made me sick from start to finish, but the insanity of it makes better sense than slapping a merry ending and getting on with it.

I cannot deny my objective appreciation for the plot that kept me reading till the end. Honestly, it was ... well-crafted. But damn, I would never recommend it to anyone, unless you get your kicks with having your guts twisted and bile rising up your throat.

I don't usually leave reviews, yet I can't help but commenting on this one... I was in a dilemma when scoring. The story (not the plot!) is messed up and twisted, and I can give it a 3 if I just consider the painful feelings that I have for the characters throughout the reading, as the MC went through so much. Nothing is going his way, well, even if something did, his hope would be crushed after. But I'm trying to be realistic here: despite how twisted and messed up it is, the story is not completely nonsense.

As much as I became frustrated every single ... time I read each chapter, asking myself "How can it be this cruel?!", the story managed to stop me from dropping it. It's a huge feat, you know, since I'm very critical to 'dark plots' (yes, I'm your typical girl who hopes for the MC's happiness, lol), to the point that once I sense even a slight hole in the plot, I'm out. So here I'm complimenting how the author structures the story development.

In conclusion, objectively it has higher score. It's just that my enjoyment and conscience don't allow me to, so I'm taking the middle road here by giving 6.
Psychological genre, indeed.
