Agata is seriously such a talented author. Every single story they write pulls you in and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Their characters are so well-crafted, and the way they brings their emotions and relationships to life is incredible. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into each of their stories, and the result is always something special.
The first story was a bit strange, though—there was something about the male lead being too big, which I hate tbh. It wasn’t a dealbreaker by any means, but it was one of those little details that stood out in a way I didn’t
...
expect. That said, the rest of the story was still enjoyable, and I was invested in the plot and the characters despite that one weird choice.
The volleyball story? Perfect. Honestly, it was one of the best stories I’ve read. Agata managed to capture the energy and excitement of the story and the characters. It was just such a solid story, and it felt super real and engaging from start to finish.
Then there’s Mama no Funtou, which was also absolutely perfect. This story had such a great mix of emotional depth and character development. “The lazy sister”, absolutely stole the show. it was peak! Honestly, 10/10 story!
The fifth story was okay—nothing groundbreaking, but still decent. It didn’t stand out as much as the others, but it was still enjoyable. On the other hand, the sixth story was amazing. It had that same emotional pull and depth that Agata’s best works have.
As for the “hero” story… it was a bit of a letdown for me. It just didn’t really do much for me compared to the others. It wasn’t bad, but it felt kind of underwhelming, and I just wasn’t as invested in the characters or the plot. Definitely not my favorite of the bunch.
Overall, I think Agata is an incredible author, and their stories are definitely worth reading. Even the ones I didn’t love as much still have a lot to offer, and I always look forward to seeing what They comes out with next. Highly recommend checking out their work if you haven’t already!
