Episode 1 Great to be back with this show as it was a whole lot of fun to watch with this whole "defense wins championships" mentality. It starts off with a Christmas event that Maple Tree participates in along with with Holy Sword and Flame Empire as everybody became friends after that event that had quite the crazy ending. The Christmas event is another typical quest there which is no problem for these three guilds. And then everybody receives gifts with Santa outfits and new weapons. And it was pretty hilarious seeing Kasumi sexualized with her new sword, and even more so when Payne sees her like that. Great times once again as Maple continues to be the defensive tank she has always been. |

This felt more like an OVA than anything But fun non the less. Glad to see more interactions outside of the main cast. Looking forward to another season of How can Maple and the rest of her party break the game! |

I decided to start with the first season, in hopes I will be able to "catch up". Might be a bit tough with all that's out this season, but I do like the vibe of it so far. It's a bit of a game-verby plot of course, with kind of laid back humor, which I like so far. Well, I guess so far, that means my own defenses are down on this one at this point! |

I see that MAL lists the genres for this as action, adventure, comedy and fantasy. The action and adventure have no tension because it's a game. The comedy is a bit lightweight. The fantasy is manufactured. It might be more appropriate to call it slice of life and science fiction, since we're watching people playing an advanced virtual game. But it's a fun show, even if we're just watching people play a game. |

wow it's been three years since the first season and we probably would have gotten sooner if it wasn't for COVID. Anyways.... I was able to watch the first episode when it aired early last month on the seven seas and gotta say the first episode felt more like OVA. It was pretty much a Christmas special and the new area in the game reminds me of Inazuma from Genshin Impact. The best part had to be Kasumi getting her new blade and turning into a loli.Well it is a cursed sword... The first episode was decent but from here on I expect it to get better. |

Episode 2 Talk about bad timing as Maple had been excited about the release of Level 5, but she got sick right when it was launched. So she has some catching up to do, but it doesn't take long. And with that, it's onto the next level where Maple and Sally end up at a haunted house. While Maple handled herself quite well, not so much with Sally as she was all too eager to log out. But in the end, she gained a new skill after all that running around. Pretty amusing that was once again going to show that Maple is not like the other players in NWO with her crazy and unconventional skills. |

Last episode Level 4 was added to the game and now Level 5 is added just like that. You wouldn't see game developers adding game content so quick. They would want the players to explore the new area well enough before adding new content. Could the studio be rushing the story so they can end the season at a certain point? I would have like to see more of level 4. Let's see if the next episode they continue on level 5 or go straight to 6. |

I was looking forward to the second season, but the premise is already starting to wear thin. How much more powerful can Maple get? She's already soloing what I'm guessing are intended to be "at level, endgame" raid bosses. The first season had that element of Maple breaking the game by doing something no experienced gamer would ever do. Now that she's there it's turning into one of those game isekais where the MC is severely OP. And with Maple being so famous why hasn't anyone else tried her strategy? I'd think by now the game would be littered with FotM Maple clones. (Sally's whole "I'm utterly terrified of ghosts" schtick ran out of gas halfway through the episode.) |

Episode 3 Onto the next event as Maple and Sally choose the toughest path, of course. They float across the first floor to avoid traps, and Maple's mecha form has leveled up to overpower the first boss. The second one is a lot more difficult, and while Sally had a little bit of trouble, Maple was able to defeat it as that one has quite a difficulty spike compared to the first. The third one, Maple had no trouble at all. Those admins sure are trying their hardest to find something that will finally defeat Maple, but they just can't figure her out. Maple never fails to amuse as she's always pulling out all the stops, and making quite a mess of things for those admins realizing just how much of a bug she's becoming. |

Probably the best ep of the show so far this season. Glad we're getting to see more of Mii. She's a fun character. That woman overseeing the game devs must be from corporate. She's what I'd imagine a EA/Activision exec to be like. I would have though climax would be the hardest level and not ultimate. Pretty typical of naming schemes for games though. I know ED's are typically more spartan than OP's, but man the ones this season have seemed especially simplistic. I do like how they show symbols for each of the members of the guild though. |

Episode 4 That admin said it best when tough monsters, like the ones they made specifically for Maple and Sally, were meant to be beaten by only the best. After all, the Dark Souls games are quite famous because of that. Maple and Sally drew by far and away the toughest climb to the top, but that didn't stop those two from finding a way to take down these juggernauts that came in one after another. And that fight against that knight at the top really took everything out of Maple going to show that it's not just power that determines how good a player is. There was the strategy element that those two executed very nicely, from hitching a ride to hiding in the mouth of one of the bosses, and even the admins that have been trying their hardest to contain Maple's crazy power were moved. |

Well, they made the only mmo in existence where you only need to clear a dungeon once to progress so it's kind of on them. Any other MMO would have you grinding that boss 25 times just to get the achievement that granted you a new skill. |

Maple's gotten skills from killing a boss once, but she's also received some from killing the same boss over and over again in the first season when her and the twins kept trying to better their time and were speed running a dungeon. She's also gotten abilities from doing nothing for a few hours except letting herself get attacked over and over. So there has been some grinding too.zkeleton said: That last boss fight was pretty good. They really needed something like that with the way they were blowing through all the other bosses. I was thinking about it and it also makes sense that they could create new areas fairly quickly. I could see game engines in the future utilizing AI to help create environments, encounters, bosses, and pretty much everything else. What might take weeks or months to create now could possibly be made in days. |

It seems like they release an entire new zone once a week on the back of a staff of like 5 people. Although I guess the game is in Steam Early Access since it's adding in 1 level at a time and nothing seems to get tested before Maple comes along and breaks it. |

Episode 5 For a long time, Maple and Sally are the only ones with beast buddies. But now, Kasumi, Yui, and May have ones of their own as Kasumi has a snake, while Yui and May have bears. And also, Maple can use tentacles after devouring that octopus for dinner in the event. And of course, there are the rabbit ears, though coming a couple of weeks late seeing that this is the year of the rabbit that just started. Lots of cute things going on. |

Here's yet another show that will be experiencing delays due to COVID as after this week's episode, the next one will be delayed by two weeks. Episode 7 will be airing on March 8 and while everything through episode 10 is expected to air the following weeks, episodes 11 and 12 are yet to be determined. While Maple did maximize her defenses to protect her from just about everything in the game, even she can't operate with COVID when it is quite a big problem. |

Episode 6 Seeing Syrup and Oboro playing with her tentacles is pretty amusing. So with May, Yui, and Kasumi getting their familiars, the next order of business is for Kanade, Iz, and Kuromu to get their companions. Kanade's is a mirror slime, Iz's is a fairy spirit, and Kuromu's is a ghoul he can wear as armor. Meanwhile, Mii got herself a phoenix that she uses to help Iz get her companion. Another fun episode that is as everybody is having fun and prepping for the next event. And with production delays caused by COVID, the next episode will be coming in three weeks. Originally, this season was planned to air in the fall after initially putting out a 2022 ETA, but production was slower than expected and it was a grind just to get it ready for this season. |

Episode 7 Now that everybody has their animal familiars, it's onto the next event. Frederica has her chick, and while it's cute, there's just no telling what power it holds. The next event, the admin is keeping players in the dark as to what exactly is being planned. It turns out the prize at the end is monster evolution, though not in the sense in which Syrup evolves into Torterra or Oboro into Ninetales. They are the same cute guys they were, just with some stylish elements added to them. Just another typical beatdown that Maple delivers and now they have even more abilities at her disposal. |

Episode 8 Now with a stronger turtle and fox companion, it's onto the next event where points are determined by who finishes the enemy. Sounds like just another typical event that is no sweat for Maple, but with enemies avoiding her, she's having a hard time racking up the kills. She has a lucky break when running into a plant that draws monsters. While that's happening, her allies are kicking butt, though Kanade had quite a tough time and he only survived because of his slime creating clones. And then Mii and Payne duke it out, but their battle is interrupted by Maple as she was eaten by a gator, and managed to gain control of it from her mouth all while firing away. Pretty silly that was at the end, but nevertheless the guild continues to do what they do best. |

Episode 9 Last time was the preliminaries, and now it's time for the main event. Pretty much, it's all about survival, but given just how strong Maple is that no matter what monsters come their way she can easily mow them down. And after splitting up, they head into the dungeon where they set up traps, and they build a living room inside where they can just sit back, relax, play cards or whatever, and watch those monsters drop like flies. Quite amusing the whole sequence of events is there going to show just how crazy Maple's mind works. Of course, that's just the first of three days and come the next day, the admins are surely going to try something to put Maple Tree to the test. |

Episode 10 And now, Holy Sword and the Flame Emperors move into the base after everybody was forcefully relocated. And so, the top three guilds are working together to dominate the event. While those traps that Iz set up took care of all the enemies from the first day, the monsters those admins spawned for the second day are freakishly strong. Even so, with all these top players together that they are more than prepared to take down whatever comes their way. So with that, the next episode is two weeks from today with the finale coming the following week. Since it got this far into the broadcast that it was easy enough to find room to air the last two episodes. |
