No long running. No Jojo as I am waiting for the BDs. Anything else is pretty much in the strike zone for me right now.

I don't have any specific genre preferences to speak of. I tend to bounce around depending on my mood. One moment is all baseball anime the next moment I want a harem.

Which one though?

I have seen Canaan but only for one episode way back. I guess now is the time to pick it back up. I added Noragami just in case Canaan have failed me.

Ahh. I just rewatched Higashi no Eden a few weeks back, the starting was good, the later half was just awfully uninspiring. Great concept though.

Durarara barely made it into my favourites list. I like the characters and the setting but it doesn't really go anywhere. If not for the character designs, it would have not be my favourite.

I share a similar sentiment with drrr. I also think that the approach they took with the mc around season 2 was a bit forced and unnatural, although it's been a while since I've seen it so my memory of it is a bit hazy. I generally didn't even like the mc from the start.

You should also consider Btoom. It's like an animated Hunger Games if you will however the biggest issue is that it's short which makes the show seem as though it was rushed. I still enjoyed it though.

I dropped Btoom because the fat guy never went all the way in raping the prostitute of a highschool girl. But I will pick it back up again since you are reccing it.

I can't remember which one's but there were about two thing in the show that triggered me for whatever reasons. It was a thrilling kind of triggered though. One I can appreciate.

Although with btoom, if you find yourself not enjoying the show by the 6-7th episode, then it's better you dropped it at that point again considering the show shares a similar theme along the way with few changes. It's sort of a hit or miss series.

I don't know that any of that can be interesting. It's all so unwholesome and violent.

It must be some profound development that necessitates rape imagery. Even so, I'd hope there are less obtrusive ways of going about and still having a job for these writers.

I'd imagine a show like this gravitates on the overall enjoyment the viewer gains from it's theme and not so much the story/plot itself, and even then it has a tolerable story to follow.

I didn't dislike the suspenseful and thrilling aspect to it in that it kept me glued to the screen which is why I didn't dislike it, but I won't deny that this show bites the sharp end of the edgyness at times. Some scenes were obviously a marketing plan but the other aspect were enough for me to enjoy it.

The mc was also better than the generic and overly-popular mc we see in majority other shows.

Woah, it is? I've always wanted to work in the book world.
I did too haha and I still like many aspects of it, there's just so much garbage out there, and you can't pick what kind of books you work with, people have really shit taste and watching what becomes bestseller often makes me sad

You should take one of them, then.

These lettered threads were created because the crowd of the existing chat thread wouldn't accommodate new posters. The new users were given their threads, but that's not what they wanted. They wanted to be the champions against chat persecution, not to be succored by the administration and exist divided but equal. Most of them packed up and took to backwards secret clubs, like they thought they were in a position to reject the great congressional charity of Xinil. These are the open and fertile pastures they've left in their migration, and the land is open to anyone with a claim to mark.

I imagine the circumstances of your thread getting closed were largely to do with your guys not acknowledging it as a chat thread, and calling it random. If you're saying something random, you're not carrying a conversation or discussion. Your posts aren't random if they reference back to other parts or posters in the thread, I think. If you're not acknowledging it as a chat thread, you're playing outsiders into following the law of the thread when its community itself is very liberal in practice.

WELL BACK WHEN I MADE THAT THREAD THESE CHAT THREADS DIDN'T EXIST YET SO WE NEEDED TO MAKE VERY VAGUE AND MEANINGLESS FORUM "GAMES" TO SORT OF THROW OFF THE MODS TO THEIR TRUE PURPOSE, LIKE THE "SAY SOMETHING RANDOM TO THE USER ABOVE YOU" AND "SAY THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND" THREADS.

WHY PEOPLE KEPT USING THEM UP TILL NOW THOUGH IS A TRUE MYSTERY.

Accidental all caps.

So the "say something random" thread they stood and fell for was really just one of the throwaway chat threads you made way back when. It's sweet that they would make something of it, though.

I remember the blackjack chat thread, that was cute.

I sort of recall that thread dying off into obscurity shortly after I made it, I have no idea when it got hijacked.

I'm pretty sure I got banned for the blackjack one, I wasn't really hiding my intentions with that one.

They banned you for it, but still two weeks later they relented when they made this wave of chat threads.

I imagine it was largely because the collective of chat club goons thought they wanted a place in forum games.

Every so often one of them, someone like Korrvo, would look upon chang and their 100 thread dynasty with jealousy and would begin to ferment their own dreams of sovereignty.
They would go back to chat club and rouse the rabble to sally forth on chang, like they thought they could sustain a dinky invading force on all corners of the thread, and somehow that would crowd out its posters.

The chat club people were always so tense. They hated me too because I made the Battle Shounen chat thread that rejected them, as well.

Well for me I didn't really now about these threads and they were always pretty inactive. The random thread was just very active all day which made it fun to be on. And when I came here and blurted stuff, I was kidding, because none of them took the admins advice and they just went to spam somewhere else.

You guys were going through a thousand posts a day it looks like, next to that anything will appear inactive.

There's no harm in gathering those posters up and bringing them here or to one of the other two designated chat threads.
This is the most active of the three, even though there have been season-long periods of drought.

You could probably have the mods rename the thread after your old one, too. It's not as if the people that came up with these titles still exist.

With a club you're only isolating yourselves from the community.

For all the complaining these threads sure went down fast, well it's partly mal's fault though for overestimating the amount of people that wanted a chat thread and giving out 4 when 2 would of sufficed.

I think they were anticipating a pattern, that the people of what would have been the new chat would be still in constant turmoil and tension over the who's who of their community and would want to divide again.
There were a lot more people in chat club and the periphery of forum games than there are in the hub-land of chang, after all.

Only they didn't realize that chat club and forum games was full of these nomadic tribes that couldn't necessarily organize under a single thread without an enemy to unite against like they had in chang.
Chat club now, I imagine, is a ruined papal state, because they got what they thought they wanted, and lost what they needed.

Even the people that were in chat club took off to other secret clubs.
And then the mods clipped the wings of the Battle Shounen Chat thread towards the end of v2, and the people of that thread took to secret clubs as well.

Wait what? Since when the chat club represents the forum games chat threads? There were only two members, BattleChilli and Sloth, who crusaded against the "tyranny" of chang. The chat club does not stand as a whole as within it, consists of multiple cliques (circlejerks if you will). One clique's opinions does not mean the other must be the same. More often, they are not.

Personally, I never get involved with the raids, nor actively promote it for whatever reasons.

All said and done, don't use the Happy happy fluffy chat to spam. That thread is the best and most civil thread, it doesn't need any sort of poppycock residing within. I still believe in the dream that it'll reach v.2 one day, or one decade.

This thread managed to reach v.3 so that's already saying something. There were days where 1000 posts wasn't impossible for us in this thread.

Same I used to use the 'recent' tab every so often any year prior to 2015 but ever since then I've found myself only using watched topics, with which most of them are fg's.

I've added at least 30 fg topics to my ignore list that I see as pointless and unoriginal and take up most f the fg's activity. I actually appreciate using fg's still and often times click on the forum games tab, so I'd like it if I can use the fg threads I enjoy without having to see the other ones every 10 seconds.

It doesn't represent these threads.

No group is ever of a single opinion, of course.
I don't know about Sloth and Battlechili. That sounds a little out of character for Sloth, but I didn't know him until late into 2014.

You speak of raiding as if it's presently a thing. Threads like these really defeat the purpose of holding them at all.
