Amazingly enough, the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics is the first to include women's ski jumping as an official category. Let's all cheer for Nono~

All I can say is, to be "born in the wrong era" is always the greatest curse for many.
If this manga is meant to teach readers anything, it is to never seek fame or understand the risks and stress that comes from the price of fame.
Had the main character's father never participated in the Olympics, and avoided in becoming the miserable abusive monster parent he turned into, then I like to see how differently the story would have turned out if the author is willing to present an alternative reality.

It was the first thing I looked for when I started the manga, it's good that the author took that situation into account when it was happening.
