| Hello everyone. I'm trying to put together some prize packs for some stuff I have going on for teens this summer and I'd like some suggestions for short series, preferably 4 volumes or less. One-shots would also be okay. I've got a few, but the more I have to pick from the better! Ideally, they should be 13+ or younger, but 16+ is okay, too. Here's what I have so far: Shonen: Wolf's Rain (2, 16+) COWA! (1, All Ages) Zombie Powder (4, 16+) Shojo: Meru Puri (4, 13+) Wish (4, 13+) Clover (Omnibus, 13+) Wanted (1, 16+) Thank you in advance for your help! :) |

| Shonen: Sandland (1 volume) It's pretty all-ages safe, violence and Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, COWA!, etc.)'s usual costume designs aside. 13+ at most. I'm not that into Akira Toriyama's artstyle, but it's a funny and action-packed little comic book. I loved it when I read it in (U.S. version) Shonen Jump several years ago. Also seconding Angelic Layer. It's one of my favorites of CLAMP's works. It was published in Shonen Ace and has a very shonen plotline in a lot of ways (contest structure, growing up themes) but features a girl and is otherwise kinda cutesy. Azumanga Daioh is excellent, but a bit older audiences - late teens. |
