| But people come to librarians and ask questions like, "I'm interested in (insert genres), can you help me find new stuff to read for what I like?" And if you don't read often and keep up with latest book crazes as well as having read a large amount of books, you are going to be pretty useless in that realm. |

Good librarians read a shit ton of books so they can interact with their patrons and suggest things if someone likes one thing and wants something similar. Just knowing where books are shelved is only a small portion of the job. |

| I worked in the high school library for two years plus worked in my local library for months during my senior project in high school. It's way more than just knowing where to shelve books. You would not make a good librarian. |
