Use any character you wish to level quickly.
Give your character as much BRV as possible.
Any gear (or accessory) not giving BRV should be removed.
Next, get a good HP attack as your default attack.
Now, select Exdeath as your opponent in exhibition mode.
I advise you to fight in the Cosmos map (the 1st one you ever fight on [22/25])
Set the CPU Lv as high as possible (100 if possible) and both CPU difficulty as high as possible as well (9/9)
Is you have everything unlocked, it should look like this:
贄き (CPU): 9/9
Lv (CPU): 101/101
タイプ (CPU): 9/9
Now you're all set to fight.
Now all you have to do is spam that HP attack until he (or you) dies and see the Exp roll in.
At top times you can make 20000 Exp for each HP attack.
PS: sometimes it takes a while to learn to time your attacks just right, but be patient.

why set the difficulty on high too?? does that guarentee more experience??? or just the game harder and less fun lol
1. MUCH more Exp
2. It makes Exdeath want to kill you in 1 hit, meaning he'll only teleport to you untill he has enough Brave to kill you in 1 shot, giving you the time to do HP attacks.

And he doesn't do a good job of it either. The only character I had trouble beating Exdeath with, even at Level 9, was Exdeath (because I suck with him. Haven't met too many decent Exdeath players...or Dissidia players at all for that matter).
I actually think the Emperor's not very good against Exdeath, because he hasn't got an effective long-ranged attack that can ensure he'll lay the hits on Exdeath in the first place.
Not to mention the fact that the Emperor is slow to set his traps, so Exdeath might get a hit while he's at it.
And has anyone noticed that Exdeath can't teleport towards Gabranth when Gabranth is charging his EX gauge?

Exdeath + low block (air) + Snooze and lose Vs Chaos = easy way to get his Brave down.
Exdeath isn't that bad to use, he's very tactical. Just gotta be patient (easy to say...)
As for the emperor, it all depends on what stage you use him in. Small stages, like his Pandamonium (Spelling?) the light sigil bounces off the walls and easily hits, giving you a chance to lay some traps.
In addition to the Exdeath easy levelling trick, try:
Gabranth lvl 100 Max. difficulty Vicious on any stage you like. YOu only gotta worry when he's in ex form. when he is, run. After it ends, keep pounding him and try to end with an ex burst :]
