Here you can tell others what you thought were the good/bad points about the new ToS vs the original ToS.. What similarities/differences are there? Which of these 2 games is the better and explain why..

Also if you want you can also tell others in the club what was the strong/weak point for the new Symphonia vs the strong/weak points from the orginal ToS?

I personally liked the original ToS more because of better story, longer/ more fluid gameplay and i personally thought it had better sidequests than the new ToS..The new ToS had good battle system and nice use of unison attacks/mystic artes comb..and the ability to recruit monsters for the party

The disappointing thing about the new Symphonia had to be the voice actor change, less game time (story-wise), weird graphics, and no costumes..the original far outpaces the new ToS in all these matters..i will explain more in a future date..

Personally, I like KoR better. ToS was fun, but at some parts of the game it was so boring! I haven't been bored once in KoR.

And I'll balance this whole thing by saying I believe the two games were of equal quality. Both had their share of flaws and perks, and neither left me bored.

I'd have to agree with kachosen576 and say the original ToS. I'm somewhat disappointed about the lack of the world map in KoR. The original felt like it had a lot more adventure to it. I'm also disappointed with the level lock on the original cast.

However, I enjoyed the quests and monster features. And Alice is awesome!

I'll go with the original ToS. The affection system, costumes, good unison attack system, to name a few things were key for me. ToS:DotNW was ok, some things were great (voiced skits, and some of the skits were quite memorable, going around to old-locations, and the lovey-dovey scenes between MartaxEmil) and others were lacking IMO. I felt the monster system was pretty meh. Every time I used a monster I ended up wishing it was a character. The overall limitations imposed on the old cast (leveling, no equipping stuff, no running around as oldcast, no all old-cast party, etc) was quite stupid. Also, while I'm glad they included the unison attack in the game, they completely butchered it! I loved the original and trying out various combinations (Prism Stars!), but this time around there's very little control. And the effects aren't all that exciting.

While I've replayed ToS over four times, ToS:DotNW won't be replayed for quite a long time. It's slow start and lack of options will prevent me from doing so. But for what it's worth, I did enjoy my time with it. My experience could have been much better, but it's not a bad game.

7.3 / 10.0

for gameplay, i'd say the original, although Dawn is more entertaining...
